What's a pub without tunes? Somebody posted this one on the old site and I was hooked as soon as I heard it and haven't been able to get it out of my head since.

"Just New Jersey..." Poor New Jersey.

I demand a Colbert version!

For my current music, I've been listening to stuff from "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" - It's a rock musical about a transsexual punk rocker from East Germany.

This is going to seem ridiculous, but I CANNOT get the main theme of A History of Violence out of my head. Yeah I listen to movie soundtracks a lot....

Wonder if there are any Hatsune Miki/Vocaloids fans here. o.o

It's a sad song, really. >_> The live concert version is cool too.

I love Vocaloid! And the technology that went into that live concert fascinates me.

A couple of my favorites (I...think I tend towards the much creepier stuff.):

Oh, and look up "rockleetist" on Youtube - she does some wonderful English covers of Vocaloid songs.

I like the creepy stuff too, some of them are really creative. Here's one of my favourites..

I can see the others edging away from us.

What ... what IS Vocaloid anyway? Whenever I ask I get vague explanations, shifty eyes, and anime girls thrown at me.

Erm...best I can explain is that it's a voice/singing synthesizer program that one can use to make songs. And as with many things Japanese, it's developed cute girls (and some cute guys) to go along with the voices available.

Heh thought Vitas would be too obscure. Opera #2 still amuses me.

I may be a fan of Hatsune Miku... and yes, I'm also in the "I swear to God he's male"-category.

Other than that, I listen mostly to the much more gender-appropriate Rise Against.

Hmmm, I guess my favourites are in the gender-inappropriate category? My favourite band is Tool. I also like NIN, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Seether, Staind, Sum 41, Breaking Benjamin, Finger 11... and yeah, Nickelback :(

Forget propriety, that list of bands is made of pure awesome!

From me is this guy. Not sure if it counts, but he is fucking amazing. Basically he takes well known tunes and introduces them to metal. Below are a couple of examples... only time I've ever said I like a Lady Gaga song... lol.

Also, more generally, my favourite bands include most of those Andalay has listed above... add in the Parlotones, Paramore and Evanescence (well, Fallen at least).

Oh, and Avenged Sevenfold, and Within Temptation... and Lost Prophets.

And likely lots of others I've forgotten to mention at the moment. I listen to lots of music...

Oh yeah, Evanescence too. And We are the Fallen, which are really similar. And a bit of Alter Bridge and A Perfect Circle, for another Tool connection. I'll have to start combing YouTube...

Still not sure about that Lady Gaga song... :lmao: I like Kenny Wayne Shepherd too. He was on his way to becoming a blues guitarist legend at 18 but I think he got a bit of a swelled head and figured he could sing too... Unfortunately he couldn't :D
