Hey Mwatuangi, Here's a quick scenario that I whipped up. I really like it and I hope you do t oo. The player walks into a small house in a remote village somewhere in Hammerfell. While the house is empty, there is a letter clearly positioned in front of the door. The player picks up the note.
"Alzand, I’m gravely sorry that you’re only greeted by this note instead of by myself and father. You’ve traveled so far, I know it. As you read this, you likely fear the worst and once again I give my apologies because your intuition strikes true. Father’s condition worsened just days after we received your letter stating your intent to come home, to come home and see him one last time. In the end, he asked me to take him to Sentinel so that he could watch the ships come and go. I tried to make him see reason in staying, as you were on your way. Father simply said, “When he sees me, I’ll already be gone. I still have a chance to see the sea.” I know we haven’t been on the best of terms, Alzand, but I know my baby brother well enough to know that you would agree with father’s last sentiment. We’ll make the half-day’s ride through the desert. The old warrior will have no trouble with that. I plan to rent a room for as long as I need the beds. We’ll watch the ships like when he was a guard at the palace and like when you and I were children. I asked him to write something here but his hands shake too severely to make sense of the words. Just know that our father loved you very much. He’s talked about you every day since you left for Winterhold. We’ve been trained since such a young age to use our might to overcome. As I write this, it saddens me that there is nothing might can do to overcome this end. Come and join me in Sentinel, Alzand. I want to hear all about your studies. Your brother, Hival"
As the player explores the house a bit more, he finds more notes tucked under a bed. They're all unreadable - just scribbles that tried to be words. Except for one that reads "Goodbye, my son." I think it'd be cool if you could then see the two brothers sitting with eachother in Sentinel having a great time telling stories to one another! Let me know what you think! Thanks, Henry
I've posted in Black Marsh in hopes of coming onboard as a quest writer and I was encouraged by Oliver1706 to post here as well. I think I'd be a great addition to your roster! I've linked a sample of my writing below so you can get a taste of what I'm capable of. I look forward to hearing from you! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1INXH0BP4bWQq6C12DDukvjx6vSWakOvYVyevkq-F7AI/edit?usp=sharing Thanks, Henry
Hey there, I'm really loving what you guys are doing with Bruma, but Black Marsh is just calling to me. I love the swampy atmosphere and those that are hardy enough to live in it. I want to help tell their stories! I didn't see quest designer or NPC designer in your list but like you said, I can always ask. I'm a creator at heart and I think I can really spruce Black Marsh up with some good narratives, both big and small. I've attached a sample science fiction story that led me to win a good chunk of change in a writing contest so you can get a sense of what I'm capable of. If you're looking for more, I can provide it. I can't wait to hear from you!
