  1. Westeros: Wardens of the North [WIP]

Westeros: Wardens of the North Explore Westeros in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, a mod inspired by the HBO show ‘Game of Thrones’ and the book series ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ by George R.R. Martin. Set two years before Robert’s Rebellion and eighteen years before the start of ASoIaF, this mod adds the region of Winterfell and the surround area, showing appearances from House Stark, House Forrester, House Whitehill, House Cerwyn and many more! Side with the Forresters or the Whitehills, help the Starks maintain their glory. Background The mod was first developed back when Skyrim was first released, but under the name of 'The Westeros Project': http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-westeros-project But sadly the mod started to dissolve in 2012 due to it's over-ambitious scope. I found this project a couple of months ago and contacted the old lead-developer. He agreed to send me the files and I just began to work on it a week ago. Seeing how the old mod failed I decided to lower the scope of the project and just focus Winterfell and the surrounding area. Our team is relatively small so far, only consisting of a level designer(me), a modeler and a couple of writers. Work so far Modeling: So far we are working on making assets for Ironrath and then will focus on Winterfell. We intend to use a mix of our own assets, modder’s resources and Skyrim assets. Also maybe some assets from The Witcher 3. Level-design: We are focusing on Wolfwood for landscaping and we haveb;t touched interiors yet. Writing: We are currently defining the story and houses. ---- http://imgur.com/gallery/GROtz ---- Our plan Focus on making assets and landscaping regions one out of four regions at a time. Make locations (Settlements, cities etc) assets and implement them. Start writing plotlines, characters, and quests.Do a second pass of all of the landscape and locations, making improvements.Make new assets for interiors and then begin to designing interiors, but no clutter yet. No NPCs or monsters should be made yet.Implementation of plotlines, characters, and quests commences.Voice acting begins recording. Bug fixing and QA begins.Recruitment We currently need... 2. Beyond Skyrim: Moonpath to Elsweyr

Will this version of Moonpath to Elsweyr be a more open world experience than it's previous counterpart now that the modding community has advanced? For example, a lot of the mod felt linear and llike the story was just leading down one path rather than an open world like the base game is.
  3. Pyandonea Project

Well if you think you can do the project on your own then Beyond Skyrim isn't for you, the point of Beyond Skyrim is that it is a collaborative project. You could still host your project here on DC but there isn't much point if you are a one-man team. Anyway, good luck with your project and I hope to see it on the nexus soon in the near future
  4. Pyandonea Project

Kettlewitch basically summed it all up. My advice would be to start your project here on the DC Forums and then make a proposal for Beyond Skyrim when you are in much later stages of development. If you need any help to get your project started then PM me and I can help you out a bit
  5. Pyandonea Project

Each Beyond Skyrim province has its own team so potential Beyond Skyrim projects require an already functional team with some progress done already so here are my questions; 1) How much work have you done already? What type of work have you done the most of? Can you show us screenshots? 2) Have you got any custom assets yet? Can you make them yourself? 3) Have you got a team? Does your team's specialities span across all areas of modding? 4) Do you have some kind of plan for development? Have you worked on any modding projects in the past? 5) Is the story lore friendly? Will you keep the lore in mind? Those are just some of the things you'll need to consider before starting a modding project, especially a Beyond Skyrim project. This would be a massive undertaking and require more than one person so if you need any more advise then lemme know.
  6. 18, Male, Looking to be of assistance.

Can you sound like M'aiq the Liar? If so, you are needed in Morrowind
  7. I would like to contribute :)

Looking good! Maybe place some more cliff/rock pieces to cover the stretched textured bits of landscape on the side (The bits I highlighted) Or you could smooth them out by using the smooth tool. Doing this will make it seem a bit more natural.
  8. I would like to contribute :)

That sound wonderful! Very excited to see what you come up with I might make a little island myself for fun.
  9. I would like to contribute :)

Is there any particular type of modding you would like to get into? (Level Design, Modelling, Implementing, Writing etc) i'm sure lots of people in the community would be willing to help you along any of those paths or you could watch tutorials etc and teach yourself like I did. 10. Willing to become a writer for any province

Just a friendly tip for the quest layout/structure, I like to use this type of structure for my dialogue, here is an example I made out of your dialogue; Branch 1 1. Greetings Mage 1.1. Mage: Hello there traveller. Sorry but if you'll excuse me I have some important research to conduct. (Proceed to branch 2) 2. You're with the Synod aren't you? 2.1. Indeed I am. We are an order born from the ashes of the Mages Guild. You seem to be quite perceptive. Now if you'll excuse me, I really must continue with my research. (Proceed to branch 2) Branch 2 1. Wait, what are you researching? 1.1.Mage: That's none- oh, well, I am trying to find out more about the physiology of an elusive species of witch. A half bird, half woman abomination. It doesn't have to be the exact same as that, a lot of writers do it differently but its way more clear a precise as the way you were structuring it earlier
  11. Willing to Become Writer For Blackmarsh

Well maybe you should try writing a short script for a quest or show us some of your award winning poetry as we need some proof of your work as we generally need to know that our writers have a firm grasp of English etc. The Blackmarsh team may recruit regardless of proof of work but I really doubt it. I look forward to seeing what you can produce
  12. Willing to Become Writer For Blackmarsh

Could you please show us some examples of your work? All the provinces generally need to see peoples level of skill before they recruit them
  13. Sorry for being MIA

I don't think you need to apologise, no one can blame you for what happened. Hopefully 2017 will be a better year for you
  14. Novice Interior Designer

I'll PM you some details tomorow :)
  15. Novice Interior Designer

These look promising! Also, maybe you should work on cluttering a bit more and make it seem... more lived in. At the moment it seems kind of empty, you could try and place a few more objects on walls and around the place etc. Here are a few examples of interiors I made a while back; http://imgur.com/a/jtygw (The upstairs isn't the best but it's still a good example of a cluttered house) But other than that you could be a great asset to the project Here is a link to our welcome Pack https://www.darkcreations.org/forums/topic/10542-welcome-pack-for-new-joiners/#comment-280262 which will introduce you to our project. Unfortunately Iliac Bay isn't in need of interiors designers right now as they are still in need of the required tilesets but I can't speak for Cyrodiil though. What I do know is that Morrowind are in are in need of some level designers right now, but its your choice
