    Hello, I would like to join Beyond Skyrim as a 3d Artist. Here are some examples of my work. I am also fairly experienced in the Creation Kit, and am learning to produce better textures for my models. I am specifically interested in joining the Illiac Bay team.     hiya, ive been a fan of beyond skyrim ever since the day i heard about it, and i would love to be able to contribute to any of the teams. my strengths in 3D modelling are mostly creature and weapon design. though i have to admit i am not very proficient with structures and such, i am very willing to learn in the meantime. i use mostly Zbrush 4R8, and have the entire substance painter package, (substance painter 2018, substance designer 2018, and substance B2M 3). i have provided some of my personal favorites here, but some of my other models can be found here: https://sketchfab.com/facerate/models. i am really active in 3D modelling for most of my time, so i will be able to work a lot on the project. thanks for considering me for a position!
  3. Application: 3d modeller

    So technically some of my work has already been used in BS but I would like to join in a more official capacity. My skills are 3d modelling, best at structures and statics. Creatures with skinning I find to be a bit of a nightmare, though I can modify existing skinned meshes to create new variant forms. Also, not too great at texturing. I thought I would show 2 videos that showcase a few bits and pieces I've worked on. (some of it is old and unreleased but might be of some use.) The first video here shows a bridge set along with raised road segments that can be used to link them if needed, some light posts, a tileable cliff edge and a Flame Wraith which is essentially a retextured modified Ice Wraith with different spells. The cliff segments which there are 8 separate tileable pieces are scratch built and the bridges are almost scratch built apart from the road segment which was lifted from Skyrim. These might not be that useful as I'm not sure how much over-all worldspace has already been finished or designed in the various projects. The second video here shows some dogs and horses. The dogs are modified wolves and the horses are modified horses (obviously). Both names of the new horses "Swift" and "Desert" are just placeholder. I am aware that new types of horses might already have been modelled for the project but I thought it would be fun to do. the two new types can share saddles with each other as they have the same back/waist shape. Thank you for your consideration. As to the province, I am not too fussed. Though I am leaning towards High Rock/Hammerfell.

    Hello, im Dafewf and i know you cant say mine nick. Im a young graphic designer, both 2 and 3D but for this purpose i could help with some 3D modeling/sculpting. Im studying game development in Poland and i have shit loads of things to do for it, that i dont have much time, so its not a promise i will make everything super fast etc. I prefer to make some props like weapons and stuff, not organic (learning this now).     Hey folks, it's Moose, otherwise known as Moosie over in the public discord channel. I'm 21, and looking to help with the project(s) in asset creation. I've been puttin it off for a while now, but here I am presenting some of my work in hopes to join Morrowind as a 3d artist, if not other projects as well in time. I've been learning, half on my own, half with the help of y'all at the Arcane University discord server (but mostly the discord. Seriously, thanks for putting up with my troubles) Here are some render shots in Quixel of my work and some in-game screenshots of the axe I just finished: And with that, that's all I have to show for now, but more is sure to come. Starting after I post this, I'm going to start looking into 3d sculpting to make environmental assets and potentially creatures (but mainly environmental stuff), as well as continue trying out weapons and armors.   7. Hi, I hope I can just post here. If not, please move it elsewhere. I still don't know how this teacher thing works here So I created my first model (or I am still in the process). It's a stool of oak wood based on a medieval design I found. Just something simple to start with. I created the mesh and then I textured It (just the basic textures, no specular or anything). I am using two different textures. One for the top and the sides and one for the legs. When I put the textures on it looks pretty alright: However, when I render that thing it appears that the textures on the legs are missing: How can that be and how can I fix this?
  8. Hello Beyond Skyrim community, My name is Jacob Mould (also known as Uncle Bones), and I'm hoping to join the Beyond Skyrim development as a 3D prop or Environment Artist. I've been following the project since 2012, and while this is my first time on the Dark Creations forums, I've been keeping up to date with your updates ever since. I am a recent graduate of Teesside Unviersity, having gotten a first in Computer Games Art, and I'm looking to work on a project developing 3D assets for use in-world. I want to be able to put my skills towards something I consider to be great, and I'd love to get involved with a mod that I've been fascinated with for the last 5 years. While I'm currently rather too busy in real life to devote all my time towards large portions of the project, I'd be very happy to develop assets, props, items and general environment art towards the project whenever I can. I have experience modelling, sculpting, texturing and working with game engines. While I'm not overly familiar with Skyrim's Creation Kit, I dabbled in the TES Construction Set in my youth and I'm quick to learn new programs. If you'd be willing to accept my help, I'll endeavor to understand the software more completely as soon as I can. I have experience working within a 3D art team working towards a game product, and I've been a Team Lead (art) during a game creation project in 2016 (Teesside University Journeyman Project). While some of my more recent work has been more stylised than what you'd see in Skyrim, I'm a flexible artist and can easily adapt to the overall art direction of the project. Two years ago I developed an environment based off of Oblivion's Chapel of Kvatch; while my modelling capabilities have improved significantly since then, I do have experience developing art in the style of Bethesda's games. I have no real preference on which province or team to work with, however I'm more familiar with Cyrodiil than I am with any of the other provinces. I am also over the legal age to purchase and play Skyrim in my country (United Kingdom). I hope that you'd be able to find me a space within your art team. Regardless of whether I'm needed, I would lastly like to say how incredible the development of this project has been so far, and I can honestly say that what has been produced so far is amazing.     Hello there! My name is Rickey but I'm also known as Oblivsjourney in the community. I am 20 years old and I'm applying for a position in the Beyond Skyrim development team as a 3D prop artist. I specialize in prop/architectural/environmental modeling, mesh optimization, texturing/retexturing and materials (Substance Painter). I am also trained in Adobe Photoshop. I have a lot of experience with Bethesda creation kits (Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 4, GECK) and am currently working with a published indie game team, so I consider myself able to work well with a team and get things done effectively. I would love to work with the Cyrodiil team because Oblivion is my favorite video game of all time and I'd love to see more of it reborn as a Skyrim mod. I hope to actually work at Bethesda one day so I know working on this mod will make my resume look even better!   11. Hello, my name is Colin but most people call me PrismaCube. I'm a hobbies 3D Artist from Germany, been doing it on and off over the years and even worked on other games. I'm looking to joining the Morrowind team and help them fill the world of Morrowind with assets of many shapes and sizes. How long have I been a 3D Artist? All the years from off an on together, almost 10 years now. But considering my skills I would say I have the skill of a couple of months since I always did this as a hobby on the side and focused more on school and work. Why would I like to join the project? In my recent years I've noticed that whenever I made models I was never quite happy with how they turned out, so I was hoping on taking this chance and improving my skills and learn from this project. In the past I also worked on other projects where there was no real plan and the creator was rather... unfocused, not getting into detail. How did I find this project? Over Youtube from MrMattyPlays, I've played Skyrim and past games a lot however I've been taking a break from it recently so I've missed this mod. How do you work? I work rather slow, since I spend most of my time working. When I ain't working I'm sleeping, and when I ain't sleeping or working I'm gaming.     I'm upgrading my flirtation with the Kagwola to a full fledged claim. I'm basing the model off of Waffle's concept: So far I've spent several hours making a rough overall shape, layered on some creases and shell definition and added fine details to the non-shell surface. If everyone is OK with the current state, next would be fancy-ing up the shell with sand piles, and adding in plant/rock models on top outside of zb. Overall side view: Top view: Face close-up:

I've been away many months from modding stuff since I've been busy with school and life stuff, but a few days ago, I decided to re-download Blender, and originally I was only going to make a muffin, but it expanded a little bit. I tried finding pictures of muffins to trace in order to find the right form, but I ended up scrapping that method and doing it with a base cylinder. No normal maps have been created yet. I found the 'cake texture' from a texture pack I downloaded, added the white splotches over it since I was really confused with how I was going to do the topping, and avoided it for a while until I managed to figure it out. I'll probably remove the white splotches and do another mesh of frosting that's spread on the top, rather than only a swirly thing. Above all I'm prety proud with how it came out so far, I'm overly critical of myself with artsy things, but I think the shadows on the topping and cherries I painted came out quite decent, in my opinion. I wanted to share it. I feel good about it... A minor update.
  20. Hello, guys! Well, I got two projects on the go, and I have a small team with a few writers and a programmer. I had two concept artists, but one of them gave up and the other one... died. Well, she just disappeared. Anyway, I'm now in need of concept artists to project stuff and 3D modelers to actually make the models. If you're interested, please PM me. One of my projects, the Mining Guild, used to be hosted here, but I had to stop development for a few months and it's not longer being hosted, but perhaps you've heard of it. The project I'm working on right now is much smaller than MG, and it's a project I started in 2013 which was completed. But I decided to add some stuff to it and make it better. Once I finish Domus Imperatoris, I'll get back to developing Mining Guild. The artist that stopped answering made a few drawings, and they're awesome. Here's an example. Thank you!

  23. [TEAM] We are in need of...

    Hello, guys! As the mod is on its first stage, we are a little low on resources. Currently, we have only a few voice actors and me (of course). We still need personnel to make the mod grow. We are in need of: Scripters - I'm an Information Systems student, but I'm still a newbie, and am still learning to write in Papyrus. I will need some time in order to completely learn this language. But I'm having very little time to study because of college. So more scripters would be more than welcome. Level Designers - I am the one who is currently making the cells. The thing is I suck at cluttering. My caves look so... square. Level designers with some creativity would be more than welcome too. 3D Artists - Well, as I said on the mod's description, I plan to make this mod huge. I want it to feature things like weapons, armors, pickaxes, ores and ingots. As well as new animations to make the mod unique. But I have no experience with 3D modelling at all. 3D artists are more than welcome too. Writers - Someone with creativity to help me write the quests and lines of dialogue. The plot needs to be envolving, different... unique. So, if you think you are good at writing stories, maybe you could help me. Or even write a book and get rich. Who knows? Well, in brief, we are in need of... a proper team. Please reply to this thread and/or PM me with more details about yourself.
