  1. Hello! I have once sent in an application, but, I am here to submit another, due to an improvement of content. The short-story I am submitting is the story of the day of the Battle of the Red Ring. It follows a Questor from his moments waking up in the morning, to his grizzly fate in the heart of the city. Please, leave any thoughts and feedback you may have! _A Lonely Soldier_.pdf
  2. Hello, I have always wanted to start modding Skyrim, and I would really like to join your team. As of now, I am able to implement quests, do basic scripting for the quests, make dungeons, and make new spells which are my main interests in modding. I am always willing to learn more and improve on my knowledge and skill on modding Skyrim, and I try to get better and practice every day. On Nexus, I have made a small mod while a was beginning that sends you into a dungeon to retrieve a bow, and bring it back to it's rightful owner, you can check it out here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/92333 Please check this out and give feedback as to what I should improve. (There is no voice acting so please enable subtitles, I'm a terrible voice actor.) Here are some examples of my work:
  3. Composer application

Sorry for posting twice, i wrote a piece with this project in mind and thought it would be relevant to post here! Old application: Hi! My name is Anton, i'm a swedish music composer and musician. Ever since i was child i've been a huge fan of the elder scrolls. I have been following news and rumors about the franchise for years. I stumbled upon ur project when i was doing my usual "Elder scrolls news search" and i got really exited by the idea. I started looking online if there was anyway i could chip in. After some searching i found out that i could! I've been playing music since the age of 5, practicing piano, guitar, singing and much more over the years. Later also taking steps in terms of of musical education witch include music theory, musical composing, music production. i'm a huge fan of Jeremy Soule ( composer of Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim) And have worked with a vast array of different musicians over the years. Combining my musical knowledge and capabilaty as a producer with my huge interest of the Elder Scrolls series i'm certain that the result will benefit this project positively. Looking forward to hearing from you! Best regards Anton Link to the piece i wrote: Link to a musical outtake from a cartoonmovie that i wrote some music for! (Turn the volume up a bit): Cheers!
  4. Application - Level Designer

Hi. I would like to join Beyond Skyrim as a level designer. I am experienced at using the creation kit for making interiors (dungeons, caves, houses, stores etc...) as well as exteriors (landscaping) including clutter for both. Navmash is also one of my specialties (I don't like using the auto-generate feature in the creation kit. I do my navmash manually). After following the Beyond Skyrim project for some time now I must confess I am a huge fan of your guys work. Currently I have some time to spare during my summer vacation and i would like to work on an awesome project here with you. Hope I will have the chance to work with you guys. Examples of my work: Krazak - Bandit Island Black Rain Dungeon

  9. Sound Designer Application

Hi Guys, My name is Jareth, and I am a Sound Designer based in the UK. I'm currently working for an audio post production company in London, and am looking to expand my skillset into game audio. I've been interested in Beyond Skyrim for a while now, and I believe I am at a point where I can offer my skill and resources. I am able to use my company's studios for this project, which include professional VO recording booths, foley studios and mixing suites. I also have my own personal recording and editing equipment to use (Adobe Audition, shotgun microphone, studio condenser microphone) if needed. See below a link to an (outdated) showreel. https://vimeo.com/163024476 Thank you! Jareth
  10. Hello! My name is HighKingDillon, but, I'm formally known as Matt. I am a huge fan of the Beyond Skyrim Team, and, I was introduced to you guys via Bruma, I myself am a writer. I really excel in writing things such as backstories, plots, lore, etc. So basically an all around guy. While there is much that I have to learn, still being in the 8th Grade at 14 Years Old, I am still better than most people like me. I'm a large-time player of Skyrim, and, I've had my times with Oblivion. Even though those are really the only two provinces (Skyrim / Cyrodiil) I'm familiar with, I'm a quick study. I am a very hard worker when it comes to my writing, but, at this point in time, I may / may not be constantly active, due to the fact I am very busy with other work. But, I solemnly swear to give devoted, and fully dedicated work. Now, in my book, based in Skyrim, and during the time of the game Skyrim, I'm not making it based on the lore. So, when / if you read the content that I'm going to add to this, don't flip out about it being un-lore friendly, it's just so I can have more freedom with the story. My favorite part in writing, is developing characters. Personally, I love doing characters such as Orcs, Argonians, and Nords. Simply because I can get very creative with them. Well, instead of wasting any more chatspace today, I'm going to leave you with the ending to one of my favorite characters in my book, "Silverscale - The Argonian Bounty Hunter". Please, let me know what you think, and ask anything you'd like to! Ravenhill Reclaimed.docx
  11. To anyone who reads, hey. I recently became aware of the highly ambitious and exciting project, Beyond Skyrim. On hearing that the large majority of the team is volunteer based, I thought I might submit an application to work on the project as a composer/sound designer. I have a lot of composition and audio design experience with DAW's such as ProTools and FL Studio but I have never created anything to be implemented into an engine, so that may be a problem xD. TL:DR - I'm really passionate about the Elder Scrolls and I just want to be a part of something big doing what I love.
  12. Music composer, audio score

I’m a uni student studying film scoring and composing, I have composed my own stuff similar to the Bathesda score, using DAW such as Protools. I am an elder scrolls enthusiast and my music is heavily influenced by the scores in the elder scrolls world. I would love an opportunity to expand my work and get my foot in the door with the Beyond Skyrim project, as I think I have a lot to offer. I am influenced by Jeremy Soule and In awe of Daniel ran’s score for Bruma. How would I go about joining the team to create some audio for the mod?
  13. Eric Blank again. I dropped off the face of the earth about two years ago or something like that, I know, because I was having irreconcilable trouble with my personal life, finances and my computer hard and software (windows 10 seems to hate skyrim with a passion) among other things This has been largely remedied, as I have access to a slightly slower but very much functional laptop. I've confirmed that I can load up and edit files in the editor safely and I would love to get back on level designing and bugtesting, if I could.
  14. Hello. My name is Bishop (Skeletal-Undead or Insidi-Fusion online) and i would like to request a position on the Beyond Skyrim team. While currently I am in college earning my diplomat in arts, I attempt to write exceptional stories and ideas for people (both as a hobby and a side job.) I am the legal age to play Skyrim and have put multiple hours into the game, both unmodded and modded. I am fascinated by the lore of Tamriel and Nirn, taking it as a personal challenge to know at least a little of the uncommon knowledge of the provinces. While i am currently playing Skyrim, i have been an elder scrolls fan since I first played the Bloodmoon expansion of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Some of my most recent works and current projects are available to view here: https://insidi-fusion.tumblr.com/ under "#story" Should I need to find any information on a particular subject, I will gladly ask for assitance or research the topic as soon as possible. The following items are my current ideas for a Knights of the Nine quest set in Cyrodil. Depending on how you feel about the quest series could also determine whether or not the quest can be ported into the other provinces, thus making it larger. [Location] Abandoned Chapel - The old sanctuary for the order known as the Knights of the Nine, destroyed from within by Thalmor spies [Location] Decrepit Catacombs - The desecrated resting place of the honored knights. [Location] Chapel of the Nine - The reborn home for the Knights of the Nine, a beacon to the old ways [Location] Knight Catacombs - The final resting place of knights fallen in battle. Some say that a Knight of the Nine can call upon the fallen to teach lessons long forgotten. [Location] Tomb of the Crusader - The tomb of the Crusader, a heroic individual whom single-handedly defyed death and defeated Umaril, The Unfeathered. [Quest] The Nine Tenets - "I have recently discovered what appears to be an abandoned chapel. Upon further inspection, I have discovered the ill fate of the Knights of the Nine. A ghost has tasked me with retrieving nine sacred relics and purge them of their dark enchantments." (Quest is broken into ten paths) [Quest-The Nine Tenets] - The Strength of Tiber Septim - "Upon reaching the Tomb of the Crusader, I was approached by a mysterious figure. They have warned me about many foolish adventurers who go into the tomb, only to never be heard from again. Perhaps there is an explaination to this phenomena." [Quest-The Nine Tenets] - Glory to the Eight - "I have found the locations of nine holy relics. The Thalmor would pay dearly to keep the relic of Tiber Septim a secret." [Item] - Blade of the Crusader - "The blade wielded by the Crusader against the Ayleid witch-king Umaril." Enchantment: (Leveled) Fire damage and (leveled) damage to Daedra [Item] - Silent Helm - "Once, this helmet was proudly worn among the people, giving hope to the hopeless. Now it is a shadow of itself, a testement to times long forgotten." [Item] - Voice of Diabella - "Rumors say that the Goddess of Love speaks with whoever wears the helmet." Enchantment: Gain ability Diabella's Grace - (Power - Calms all hostile creatures near Player for 200 sec.) None of the aforementioned items are finalized.
  15. Application - Doughnut

Hello there, I am Douw (Pronounced dough), known as Doughnut on the Beyond Skyrim Discord chat. As you may have witnessed I have been curious about the Beyond Skyrim team roles/jobs. I have been especially interested in the writing department in your expansive team. I enjoy writing in my own time and would love to see what you have in store. I have a particular love for Cyrodiil and Morrowind, although I am quite adaptable; as I have always had a love for the Elder Scrolls which means I know a fair deal of lore. I would really not mind working for any of the projects you are working on, for me Roscrea, Atmora and Black Marsh would be my second choices, but yet again I don't mind all too much. Even though I might not know as much about a certain area, I am always looking to increase my knowledge on TES lore. If anything, I don't particularly want to be overwhelmed with a high standard of writing; maybe later on, but for the time being I wish to improve my quest writing abilities and I believe this will come with experience. I fell in love with your work when I witnessed what you did to Bruma. I only wish to expand upon this and help your team in a way that uses my abilities/ specialities. I am situated in New Zealand which is a native English speaking country. I am quite fluent in English and am able to adapt to a wide range of writing styles such as informal, formal, 3rd person, narrative, 1st person etc. I think I would bring a variety of quests, books, notes, dialogue and other forms of interactive things to be found in your world. I understand there is a high standard for your work, only wanting to produce the best content for your fans and the Skyrim modding community. I hope I meet your standards with this example of what I can do. Beyond Skyrim Application 2.0 (Edited).docx Questionable Characters lore.rtf
  16. Hey guys, My name is Emile, I'm 19 yo and I'm from Canada. I've been playing the Bruma extension and I was amazed by the number of details in the world, so I wanted to help you guys. Since I don't have any experience in Skyrim modding, I thought I could help with the writing and story development. I've created a side quest (Dialogue included) that could be implemented in the Expedition to Atmora. https://docs.google.com/document/d/16U2F5BNFCeCjvmTJRJ27TAMv8DcRRmJuJxh8Aa19gLQ/edit?usp=sharing Thank you for your time and your awesome projects. Hope to hear from you guys soon!
  17. So here's my updated application. This time with a much more thorough 4 page quest outline. I am also currently writing another but i figured i should just present this first as my other quest is definitely more dark. My fault on the double file upload the second one is the one that works. beyond skyrim quest application= HOME INVASION.docx beyond skyrim quest application= HOME INVASION.docx
  18. Application: Dialogue/ Quest writer

Hello beyond skyrim team! Im a 21 year old student studying for political science. I have a huge passion for elder scrolls, as a series they have truly held a special place in my heart since I first played morrowind as a child. I enjoy writing needless to say and have provided a dialogue sample below with a tavern keeper in the imperial city. Thanks. (* you enter a tavern and talk rumors with the tavern keeper, this specific rumor involves an old imperial man giving away his $ to various mer in elven gardens district *) Rumors: I don't know many rumors, but Bjorn stomped in the other day furious because i believe he said " a pointy eared bastard" got 200 septims in the garden district from an old imperial. *leads to* Did you say 200 septims?- From what I could make out between Bjorn's appalling breath and honey mead induced rage yes 200 septims. * leads to addition of misc objective in journal that leads to full quest- talk to Bjorn about the old imperial.* *rumor topic over but various general dialogue options have been added about Bjorn if you talk to the tavern keeper* What does Bjorn have against elves?- I couldn't tell you if I tried traveler, divines know he holds the grisly bottom end of his boots in higher regard though. Not much of a loss there anyway, the brute couldn't even make a human friend if nirn depended on it. Where can I find Bjorn- You can find him at the east empire company warehouse, hes a dock worker. Won't shut up about all the argonians he has to work with. * ( misc quest added to journal/this leads to a small quest )* sounds like you and Bjorn have a history?- Yes actually, if it sounds like I dislike him that's because I do. Foolish nord oaf asked for a 100 septim loan. Being the good imperial I am, of course I accommodated him!... with a little interest on the side to make a small profit naturally. But it's been months and he hasn't said a word! * leads to * Have you talked to him?- Errr no, you see Bjorn is prone to violence, about twice my size... so it wouldn't exactly spell good things in my future. * which then leads to several options* I can do that for you- That would be beyond splendid, can't say I understand what would compel you to do that for free... but it's greatly welcomed and appreciated. He owes me 200 septims now with interest. If you want feel free to squeeze a little more out of him for both of us huh? I can do that for you as long as you give me some of that interest as a reward- Ugh! Fine I'll give you 100 septims, he originally owed me 200 but as long as I break even on this I could care less. If you want feel free to squeeze a little more out of him for both of us huh? Your on your own- I realize that. * tavern keeper attempts to get more money out of him at the end regardless of what you say because he's a greedy dude and it's a reflection of his character. * When questioning Bjorn for money- player is given options to either get the money in full, extort Bjorn for more money using persuasion intimidation etc, or work with Bjorn to rob the imperial tavern keeper blind maybe along with other possible options.
  19. hey so i want to join beyond skyrim and i have lots of ideas but i'm not a writer could i still join
  20. Hello, my name is Zac and I'm a massive fan of the Elder Scrolls series, Skyrim in particular! I've been playing the game since it's release in 2011, and have created various different characters to replay the story several different times until the point where I now recognise the majority of the dialogue from NPCs within the main game engine. I have been following the Beyond Skyrim project for a couple of years now, and was inexpressibly impressed by the final result of Bruma. I've recently decided that I would love to be a part of the project under the title of writing dialogue for the NPCs the player would encounter within the mod project. I have worked on dialogue for a few smaller and non-game projects in the past two years for my other hobbies and interests, and after dedicating a large portion of my life to The Elder Scrolls, I believe that I'm fit for role! Hope you get back to me soon! Many Thanks, Zac
  21. Application: Writer

Greetings to the Beyond Skyrim Team, I am an amateur writer who is studying to earn a B.A. in Cinema and Television Arts, with the ultimate goal of writing for film, television, video games, and other storytelling mediums. I've been an avid follower of the Elder Scrolls series since Skyrim was released in 2011, and since then I have become invested in every other main title TES game (save Arena) as well as the expansive and unique lore of the series. I am a semi-frequent contributor on r/teslore, under the same username, where some of my Apocrypha (fan fictions that take the form of in-universe lore books) can be found here. Additionally, I have written several works of character-driven short fiction, none published, but copies of which I'd be happy to provide. As a young aspiring writer, I was primarily focused on creating epic fantasy worlds based around a single idea. However, what I ended up discovering was that this approach neglected the characters, and I would populate my worlds with generic stereotypes, while exposition-dumping everything in a cluttered prologue, before abandoning the idea completely. One of my most recent short stories took the exact opposite approach -- it exists in a sort of fantasy world, but that world is nothing more than a stage to explore the themes and the characters I wanted to portray. This experience has taught me the value of placing characterization first in any work that wants to connect with its audience. That said, world-building remains a strength and interest of mine. Obviously, I am not creating The Elder Scrolls or convincing anyone to fall in love with it for the first time; but finding a variety of ways to make the world of Tamriel feel alive is a task that I would be honored to be a part of in any fashion. Some of my favorite lore books in the TES games are the "Beggar" series by Reven, the "2920" series by Carlovac Townway, and independent works like "The Arcturian Heresy" and "Immortal Blood". Each of these stories are works that claim to tell true stories, but whose accuracy and bias are questionable. This sort of approach -- the "unreliable narrator" effect -- is a staple of world-building and something that I would incorporate in any lore books in the Beyond Skyrim series. I would also be very grateful for the chance to bring the world to life through the writing of characters -- their dialogue, their histories, their motivations and fears and religious beliefs, and how all of those things relate to those actions. I would treat every NPC I wrote for as though they were my own character in a TES game, making sure that even those bits the player would never see are as authentic as possible. My biggest limitations are in the field of quest or story writing. While I believe I would be able to contribute greatly to quest narratives or a larger story arc, I am not very experienced or skilled in creating those narratives on my own. In that regard, I very much must work alongside others, to bounce ideas off of and receive feedback. Additionally, my platform of choice is the PS4; I have never actually owned a PC capable of running Skyrim in my entire life, I have not personally played Beyond Skyrim: Bruma or similar mods, and I would not be able to play anything I contributed to here. I do not see this as a drawback -- it's more ironic than anything -- but it's something I think you should be aware of. All I want out of this application is the chance to contribute to the world of Tamriel, in however small a way, so that a player listens to the dialogue I wrote or reads a book I authored, and feels as though they believe in the world more because of how I wrote it. Please feel free to contact me here or through my personal email: kylemorris820@yahoo.com Cheers, milkdrinkersunited
  22. Hello! My name is Amanda. I saw on the Steam website that you are recruiting people to help create areas for Beyond Skyrim, and that you just released BS: Bruma. I just thought I would introduce myself and offer my services as a 2D artist and voice actress. I am 27 years old. I have a very expressive voice; I can voice act a variety of emotions and personalities. I naturally have a Midwestern American accent, but I can also speak convincingly with Spanish and French accents. I can sing, as well. My vocal range is mezzosoprano. My equipment consists of a Blue Yeti microphone, Audacity, PreSonus Studio One, iZotope Nectar Elements, and a homemade sound booth. I am also an experienced artist with strengths lying in character, costume, and item concepts and design, but if given enough time, I am also capable of landscapes, as well. I primarily work in Adobe Photoshop CS3, Autodesk Sketchbook, and Manga Studio 5. You can see some of my work at http://elvenwhitemage.deviantart.com. I would be very interested in helping with character design and location concepts for Elder Scrolls places such as High Rock, Skyrim, Morrowind, Hammerfell, Elsweyr, etc. My strength lies in making costumes look attractive and distinct, while maintaining a convincing level of functionality and realism. I am also great at portraiture. While my main motivation in doing this would be to add this experience to my resume, I also hope to have fun doing it. Thank you for your consideration! Amanda
  23. My name is Sharra, I write. Anything. And quickly. I'll write anything you guys need me to, in any province of Tamriel, and I would just enjoy being a part of this project. In any sort of dialogue, from well to do or educated, such as a scholar's journal or official document, to plainsfolk english. I can also review literature and have reviewed the guidelines that you all posted about reviewing literature. I have written a couple stories that have been published and am occasionally commissioned by my peers to bring their TES characters to life by giving them a backstory. If you would like an example I would be happy to provide one. I have editors who look over grammar and conventions as well as quality for the sake of streamlining this process. This has been a good thing for other projects in the past but if it is a problem I can address it. Thank you. A Simple Setting.txt Sharra.txt

  25. Application

Hi, im a 17 year old guy from Sweden who loves skyrim and everything about it. When i say "Beyond Skyrim" and this project on youtube i was overwhelmed about getting some new and proffesional add-on to my favourite game ever and not only that, for FREE. I couldt be more happier, but at the same time I feel responsibility to help on this incredible project. I think it would also be fun! But i dont know much about making the game itself nor am i enough good in the english language to do any writing (I dont think so at least, i would happily do wrinting if needs be). I have studied english in school since i was 10 and self learnt alot by watching english movies and series etc. But im not perfect, but i can write correct grammer and spell right. I can talk in english fluently, with an nordic accend i guess. So I would really like to contribute by doing voice acting. As i said, i do have quite and accent, but i think that is an advantage. If you need a me acting main character, just a very small role or just about anything im up for it! Just give me a script and i shall say it! Sincerely Oskar
