  1. Altmer Concept Art

Hello! (I am completely new to these forums, and have basically no clue as to how things work - but that's not there point; therefore I digress.) Nonetheless, I was wondering if anyone here had any idea as to what Aldmeri architecture is like. From in-game sources, you can see the Velothi architecture in Morrowind, the re-hashed-cookie-cutter homes from the MMO, and the White Gold Tower in Oblivion. But what would an actual Altmer, High-Elf home look like? Specifically, I am looking for concept art. I drew this picture (I am very bad at drawing. Atrociously bad.) and made a mesh in Blender - which I just so happen to be garbage at that too. I cannot get the colors right at all, it's extremely difficult doing the windows and trying to imitate the peaking, towering architecture that you would expect. Does anyone on the forum have any concept art they have seen? I am in desperate need of them because I'm trying to make a Skyrim mod. Tips would be appreciated. For further reference, I will link a few pictures from google to show what I was basing this off of. Sorry for so many images! Please reply with any general descriptions, comments, or images you can. Have a great day, and thanks in advance.
  2. Actually I live in Indonesia, Java. Indonesia rich with tradition and traditional stuff like building, clothing, weapon, etc. I hope they can help you on making concept art, or Googling. Note: Due to Newbie problem; 'You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.' I decided to post them on my old blog: Enter here to view images.
  3. I'm not to sure if this is the right place to submit ideas like this, but I sort of wanted to share it around at the very least for anyone interested, and possibly for some feedback. So, without further ado, I present... The Black House "Damned be the man who dare turn the lock to enter that house. For it is by his bravery or foolishness, that he has crossed a line beyond death itself. For no good came from opening locked doors" - Vigilant Hemlock (One of the founding father of the Vigilant of Stendarr) http://static-2.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/18480-3-1339256881.jpg (Rough idea for what the house would look somewhat like) Years after the Oblivion crisis, the Vigilant of Stendarr had made it their goal to rid the world free of darkness, shining the light where it would dare show its face, as they had so proudly declared. Surviving the attack of Volkihar Clan, those few members of the Vigilant were successfully able to scour the land for recruits, slowly able to regroup their clans and inspire the next generation of practical 'monster hunters'. Even to this very day, the vigilant have sworn to rid darkness wherein it lies... With the exception of one place. "Let me give you a word of advice, stranger. You see a house as dark as pitch, and howling with the screams of the undead, you best turn around and go back the way you came..." - Wardviir In its ancient nordic tongue, it is known as 'Nimbus Domus', roughly translated to The Black House. It is a small cabin built from scratch by one Sadean Black, an escaping refugee from Hammerfall towards the beginning of the Fourth Era. Being a redguard mage, Black had made it his life goal to escape the unholy prejudice of mankind, thus taking to building the shack in the deepest recesses of The Great Forest within Cyrodiil. There he believed, would he be finally safe in the seclusion of the tall trees and immense tundra of the forest, and free at last from the struggles of humanity alongside his young daughter, Minia. But this treasured time was not to last. On the eve of her seventh winter, Minia had contracted a fatal disease; a poison that swept through her body, resulting in horrid, white spores upon her fair skin. Desperate to save the life of his only child, Sadean turned to darker resources. Dark magic as it were. Every last spell and incantation the young mage knew, but it was all for naught as the young Minia had past away several months later. Unable to live with the death of his daughter, Sadean began along the path of necromancy with the intent of bringing his precious Minia back from death's firm grasp. But for that... He required flesh. Victims. Anything for his daughter. Posing as a beggar on several of the many roads that mapped out across Cyrodiil, Sadean would warmly invite them back into his cabin in the woods for food, rest and general shelter to the many lone souls that wandered the landscape. There it was that he proceeded to harvest them, testing with whatever value they had that he could collect, before disposing of them in the house's lower sanctums once they had outlived their purpose. Sadean repeated the process until the lives he'd taken meant nothing more than tally marks on the wall. Until his own morality and sanity vanished completely. Until he'd died. With its owners long since deceased, The Black House still stands in the middle of that God-forsaken place. Serving no real purpose but as a place for dust to gather. For years, the Vigil had done what they could, to attempt to quell the darkness that resided in that house. Though even they dare not speak of that which lies within. Many passer-bys report hearing the tortured cries of the ghosts of Sadean's many victims from within the walls of The Black House; their last, blood-chilling moments of life, as if on a permanent loop, begging and pleading to be freed from their demise. Others report seeing Sadean himself, wandering along the river beds that surround the house. His mad, indecipherable ramblings still escaping past his lips as he prepares himself for the death of another. And, on even rarer nights, the squeals of young Minia can also be heard, pleading her father from beyond her small grave to cease his experiments. Whatever the case, trees almost refuse to grow anywhere near The Black House. Birds know better than to fly above its rafters, as fish no better than to avoid resting upon its banks. For The Black House stands... Waiting to be unlocked and secrets to be revealed...
  4. [REL] Clutter and new meshes

I bought some models a while back to use for a game project I was working on, there is a bunch of clutter and a medieval house. Im not sure if this is allowed but people in the chat said its ok so ill try my luck. I have much more than the stuff attached here but im a little scared of sharing this. Here are the links to where i got it from: http://shop.pure3d.de/buildings/118-medieval-props.html http://shop.pure3d.de/buildings/123-medieval-building-11.html I added collision to the cart so its pretty much game ready. Heres the models: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cb2h8s0fc8pwoxb/lV4Dn3zfhT If I get a green light I will post the rest of the stuff aswell, If not I will delete this tread. The website says: Your terms and conditions of use our services and 3D models You can use our models for your projects or games. You don't need to pay royalties. It's a one time payment. You can distribute our models inside your project. You can't repack our models and sell them as model packages, but you can contact us for a special license.

Congratulation on your recent marriage! Your spouse has a plan though. They would like to keep from going mentally insane from boredom while you're gone for weeks on end adventuring in strange lands. So they've informed you they'll be setting up a shop to keep busy while you're away. Except for one small detail. They want to do so from your shared abode. Does this really make sense? Should your spouse be putting the family home at risk in such a manner? No! They certainly should not. Every major city where you can buy a house has a market area that should have enough space to accommodate a small trading stall to serve this purpose. The only difference is that your spouse will not offer to buy, sell, or let you invest when they are not at the stand. So this mod will do exactly that. Now your spouse will operate a store from the market area in the city you are currently living in. Your spouse will man this stall during the normal daylight hours, then return home at night. You can come and collect your profits at any time just like normal. Yes, even though it's a bit daft, this will work for the Hearthfire houses as well since Bethesda made no provisions for turning off the shop functions when living in a Hearthfire home. If you have Thirteen Oranges' Laintar Dale and/or Oakwood installed, the market stand will be set up next to one of these locations instead since the two villages are close enough to be within walking distance of the houses in The Pale and Falkreath. As an added bonus, the shop will relocate with you if you move to a new city and there will be a chest at the stall that you can add items to in order to have them "sold" to the general public. The chest will be emptied out each day to simulate having sold the goods, and a varied amount of gold will be added to the standard marriage profits you can collect from your spouse. This provides not only a cool way to make some extra cash, but also to trim down your junk inventory in a somewhat more realistic way. If you choose to move into your spouse's original house (wherever that may be) then they will not operate a stand even if it's in one of the supported locations. Bethesda's spouse setup does not support this and I do not have any intention on editing the marriage quest to change this. Your spouse will almost certainly have an AI routine to follow when living in their house anyway. You will not have access to the chest to deposit your unwanted junk in while you are choosing to live in their home. Assuming certain conditions are met in mod added homes, this could also provide a means for allowing the spouse to run a shop from a mod added house. Installation Requirements Official Skyrim patch 1.9.32.0.8 or greater. Official Hearthfire DLC.
