  1. I’ve managed to come up with something unexpected for Morrowind. It’s like this: Something LIKE Dagoth Ur has returned, but the houses of Morrowind are too busy to deal with it. During the Dragonborn’s visit to Morrowind, he uncovers that it’s not really Dagoth Ur, but rather Dagoth Ur’s spirit inhabiting his mask and was biding his time for a poor unfortunate to find the mask in the aftermath of the Red Mountain’s most powerful eruption. When that unfortunate finds it, the spirit in the mask possesses him and uses him as a vessel to return. But halfway through the boss fight with him, the poor soul manages to break free enough to tell his story, leaving the Dragonborn with a tough moral decision: can he justify killing someone who is essentially an innocent victim?
  2. I’ve managed to get some details down for Neal, because it’s his antics and sheer luck that helps out in the quest concepts The Power of Seven, and The Prison at World’s End. physical description: he’s a really skinny guy, the kind that looks more comfortable in a library than in the field, and he wears goggles with blue-tinted lenses that completely cover his eyes. He carries an enormous backpack on his back that looks like if he bent over backwards, it would land him on his back. personality description: he’s a sunny optimist with an insatiable curiosity that often makes him push buttons (physical, not mental) that he shouldn’t. way of talking: “Oh, true story. So, I popped a piton on a mountain climb in the southern Jer’ell mountains a few weeks back, or maybe it was two or three years back. Anyway, I spent a whole week dangling from a cliff in the middle of a raging blizzard! *hoo hoo hoo hoo* (kinda kooky laugh).” description of his special power: It’s like no matter if he stays with you or you leave him outside, he always manages to beat you to the near end of the dungeon. He does this by finding a hole to peer into, tripping and falling in, and shooting down like a rocket face first.
  3. The Prison at World’s End

This was inspired in part by Coracavus Prison from Dragon Age: Inquisition, Taghira from MYST V: End of Ages, America’s Alcatraz, Australia’s Cockatoo Island, and similar infamous prisons, just so you know what to blame. —- On an island of black obsidian in what would now be High Rock, the First Empire erected an ancient prison, the Black Mountain. Those who had committed monstrous, unforgivable crimes would be imprisoned there for life. But an ancient power that the Dragonborn would benefit from is also locked away there, but most records of Black Mountain vanished when the Hurling Disk happened. —- So the quest can be broken down into four parts: locate the island, get there, get into the prison, collect the power and get out alive.
  4. The power of seven

With the return of Alduin comes an ancient, sand swimming leviathan long held responsible for the creation/devastation of the central desert of Hammerfell. The only clue to defeating it is in not one, not two, not three, but SEVEN dwemer ruins surrounding a great crater. But the only one who can help the PC (you) solve the riddle is Neal, a rookie Synod researcher that is either incredibly lucky or incredibly cursed, always getting caught in traps but always making magnificent discoveries that have other, more experienced Synod members arranging “accidents” that always backfire into the faces of the ones who arrange the accidents. While it is accepted that we don’t know much about the dwemer pantheon, the discovery of these seven ruins give a clue that there are at least seven of them, but the return of the ancient leviathan threatens the newly independent Hammerfell.
  5. Revenge of the Wamasu

I’ve got an idea for a quest series involving the Wamasus of Black Marsh: The main reason that Hayne (shortened because I can’t pronounce the name right) was so difficult to defeat was because he was Alduin’s most loyal, non-Dovah follower, and was rewarded for his service. With Alduin’s return comes Hayne’s return, with orders from Alduin’s to subjugate the marshes. This quest is part of the main questline, and also includes some racial dialogue, based off of your own race. For example: Hayne, If your character is a nord: “I’ve killed your ancestor and I’ll kill you as well (and avenge Alduin’s fall (if Alduin is defeated)).” You: “Then I’ll avenge my ancestor’s death!” Hayne: “We will see.” Hayne, If your character is a dunmer: “Do you know who I am? I’m the one who put that scar on Nerevar’s face! You’lol be lucky if you get away with your life!”
  6. Unification war

When I saw the mention of the turmoil in High Rock, it made me realize the potential of a Unification War. After you manage to “claim your own hill”, you can chose how to unify High Rock, whether through war or peace.
  7. I managed to come up with a Tamrielic version of the Tragedy of Saul and David that would also do some good for the central part of Cyrodiil: During the Dragonborn’s adventures in Cyrodiil, he eventually gets to/enter the Imperial City. Just as he or she is asking for directions from an imperial city guard, a leveled dragon attacks. After the Dragonborn kills it with ease, he is introduced to the Imperial Council as well as the Emperor(if Dark Brotherhood questline is not followed)/Steward ((Tolkien Easter egg) if it is). After the Dragonborn is introduced to the council, he fulfills a number of quests to be named the new Champion of Cyrodiil. However, this is causing some negative reputation points with the nobility even as it causes some positive reputation points with The commoners (“Saul has killed thousands, while David has killed tens of thousands.”). Eventually the Emperor/Steward tries to kill you. This might or might not result in a Unification War questline.
  8. Something I realized

There's something I just realized. Beyond Skyrim doesn't have any project for Valenwood. Everyone else is free to come up with something for it, but this is what I came up with: Valenwood: Forest of Death Something has awakened in the primeval forests of Valenwood. Valenwood's forests are becoming sick. The spirits of the dead are starting to trouble the bosmer. Even now they're considering unleashing the Wild Hunt against the source of the corruption. Can you purge the corruption before the bosmer unleash a new monster upon Tamriel? This is basically the Elder Scrolls adaptation of Mirkwood circa The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug.
  9. concept Artist Application

Hello there my name is Jonne van Keulen and I'm 19 years old and currently studying at the Graphic Lyceum in Utrecht for Allround DTPer but my goal is to start studying next year Game Artist. This is why I would love to work for you guys as Concept Artist and specifically as a Concept Artist for either Ilac Bay or Morrowind. I have started drawing for real since November after I got my Huion GT-220 V2 Pen Monitor and I started to really love drawing, I have a lot of art allready to show off and a DeviantArt you can check out (I still have my crappy content on it as well from a year ago) that out here: https://misheki.deviantart.com/ I would really love to get the chance to learn from you guys while also creating concepts for the Beyond Skyrim Team to gather ideas from, I also would love to learn how to make 3D models but thats something that isn't neccessary. I will also link some of my drawings in this post. So I hope you guys will accept me to your wonderful project and team and that we can work together very soon! PS: (I like to work for any of the projects but Morrowind and Ilac Bay draw my interest the most at this moment)
  10. Application: Concept Artist

Hiya, my name is Bradley Simpkins and I'm a 3rd year Illustration student at Plymouth University (from the UK) and I thought that maybe I could be of use on the Beyond Skyrim project, it's also something I've thoroughly enjoyed playing myself with the Bruma release and thus would love to be a part of the team if you'd have me. I'd be interested in any province/project and working on concepts for anything that you need really, I'm not constrained to one area or another, I'm pretty open to wherever or whatever. Examples of my work: https://bradleysimpkins.tumblr.com/ PS. I can do photo realistic pencil drawing, digital work, cartoon work, whatever you need, i'm not constrained to just graphic novel type work like my tumblr would suggest.
  11. Altmer Concept Art

Hello! (I am completely new to these forums, and have basically no clue as to how things work - but that's not there point; therefore I digress.) Nonetheless, I was wondering if anyone here had any idea as to what Aldmeri architecture is like. From in-game sources, you can see the Velothi architecture in Morrowind, the re-hashed-cookie-cutter homes from the MMO, and the White Gold Tower in Oblivion. But what would an actual Altmer, High-Elf home look like? Specifically, I am looking for concept art. I drew this picture (I am very bad at drawing. Atrociously bad.) and made a mesh in Blender - which I just so happen to be garbage at that too. I cannot get the colors right at all, it's extremely difficult doing the windows and trying to imitate the peaking, towering architecture that you would expect. Does anyone on the forum have any concept art they have seen? I am in desperate need of them because I'm trying to make a Skyrim mod. Tips would be appreciated. For further reference, I will link a few pictures from google to show what I was basing this off of. Sorry for so many images! Please reply with any general descriptions, comments, or images you can. Have a great day, and thanks in advance.
  12. Hello there! My name is TanneStokkie, and I'd like to apply for the Beyond Skyrim development team. I am hardworking, and I love to work towards a deadline, although drawing at a relaxed tempo is great. Drawing is a great passion of mine, and I love The Elder Scrolls lore as it has never ceased to amaze me by how large the volume of content is. Here are some examples of my drawings. My art is mostly only in black and white, as that is the way that I love to draw my artwork. http://imgur.com/1YrU8Aj http://imgur.com/agzr04P The following 2 links are some examples of patterns that I created, and could be great when embroidered into a blanket or pillow. Many cultures all over Tamriel are very art based, and I can easily see these added onto textures of blankets or bedding. I can easily see patterns like the following being added: http://imgur.com/UrkFsie http://imgur.com/MGs90xs Some more examples follow... http://imgur.com/a/AVbVg http://imgur.com/zmmHvNt I'd absolutely love to be a part of such an ambitious and amazing project. I do not mind creating specific concept art for absolutely any faction or race, but I prefer to work on the Elsweyr team. Thank you for taking the time to review my application!
  13. Hello there, my nickname is Eloquentiuz (you can call me Elo if you want) - I am interested in being part of the Beyond Skyrim project since the beginning of the year and finally found some time to arrange my application. (and yes, I am old enough, 18 to be precise) Ever since I played Oblivion as my first The Elder Scrolls game I was interested in the lore and the rich world and would like to be a part of this epos. I am interested in every Project and would like to do as much as i can for the Beyond Skyrim experience. My skills are focused heavily around creative tasks, such as artwork, conept art, level design, writing and so on.... Here are some examples: - skyrim ladscape made with the creation kit ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=276580345) -skyrim dungeon interior made with creation kit ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=370150202) -skyrim dungeon interior made with creation kit 2 ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=376096714) - a building I made in the bo3 mod tools ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=842906505) Some atmospheric examples from my unfinished zombies map (bo3): - (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=973334120) - (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=973333897) - (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=973333949) - (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=973334166) Thanks for taking the time to read my application and i look forward to hearing from you all, Elo -edit- spelling new screenshots
  14. Hello! My name is Amanda. I saw on the Steam website that you are recruiting people to help create areas for Beyond Skyrim, and that you just released BS: Bruma. I just thought I would introduce myself and offer my services as a 2D artist and voice actress. I am 27 years old. I have a very expressive voice; I can voice act a variety of emotions and personalities. I naturally have a Midwestern American accent, but I can also speak convincingly with Spanish and French accents. I can sing, as well. My vocal range is mezzosoprano. My equipment consists of a Blue Yeti microphone, Audacity, PreSonus Studio One, iZotope Nectar Elements, and a homemade sound booth. I am also an experienced artist with strengths lying in character, costume, and item concepts and design, but if given enough time, I am also capable of landscapes, as well. I primarily work in Adobe Photoshop CS3, Autodesk Sketchbook, and Manga Studio 5. You can see some of my work at http://elvenwhitemage.deviantart.com. I would be very interested in helping with character design and location concepts for Elder Scrolls places such as High Rock, Skyrim, Morrowind, Hammerfell, Elsweyr, etc. My strength lies in making costumes look attractive and distinct, while maintaining a convincing level of functionality and realism. I am also great at portraiture. While my main motivation in doing this would be to add this experience to my resume, I also hope to have fun doing it. Thank you for your consideration! Amanda
  15. Application For Concept Artist

Hello, My name is Ryan Riggs and I am applying for a position as a concept artist. Here are some examples of my work (all done in photoshop cc w/ a tablet) (Please excuse the lack of art, as I am only allowed to upload 2mb of files, I can upload more separately upon request)
  16. What is Elsweyr to you?

Hi, so I'm new to this forum, and rather than spending hours digging through countless threads of artwork and discussion, I wanted to ask a simple question. What is Elsweyr like? In this project, what is it based on, architecture, landscape, weather, culture, all of it. I have my own understanding of what I think it should be like, but so does everyone else, so I just wanted to see if our ideas are compatible or not before I want to fully commit to being part of beyond skyrim. This is an open question, so anyone can answer, but I'm more looking for "what is this mod based on and why"
  17. Scrolls Retexture Concept

Last week i made a retexture for the scrolls, using 1024x1024 instead 256x256, also putting a new parchment layer and rusty iron layer underneath; and changing coloration and saturation a bit. Actually, its only an early concept, i still would like to add a variety of damage and water signs and paintings and other symbols.... i just wanted to ask you for your first impression. And, yes that is the "Elder Futhark font" ... i realize the round wooden part in the middle looks in vanilla nearly the same like the parchment, i will definitely also change that.
  18. Tried my hand at concepting Scalemail Armor: There would be two variants. One variant is as below for the mantled scalemail armor and another would remove the mantle and pauldron leaving on the leather pauldrons and scale coat to match skyrim's scale armor. Helmet is Smalish's.
  19. Hello everybody. Since a few days, I work a new concept : the imperial (legion) light armor (leather) of Cyrodiil. Why ? The legion is at home in Cyrodiil, I did not see why the soldiers will be equipped with a imperial armor of heavy infantry. I await your opinions. PS : I am not a modder. picture edit : 6/10/2016 My arguments for this armor are : https://www.darkcreations.org/forums/topic/10940-imperial-legion-armor-leather-of-cyrodiil/?do=findComment&comment=285147

  21. I was bored and sketching earlier this evening, and it mutated into a collection of 3 clothing concepts. I don't know where these might be used, but hopefully someone will like them enough to give them a home. ^^ Needless to say, if any of these get approved, I get first dibs for modeling. 1 - Mage robe/monk robe 2 - Nibenese mage robe? 3 - Snowy adventurer I've gotten started on cleaning up the three sketches shown above. First we have the mage (monk?) robes. I've put together several different color variations - let me know which one you guys prefer for Cyrodiil. (I will eventually do this will the other two outfits)
  22. Hello, I would like to help with the project how I can, and what I can do is draw, concept, collage/photoshop, make areas/clutter (dont knock clutter too many large mods look so barren), and am learning textures and models a sampler of art- (note I have a scanner now so don't worry about some of the potato pics) a bit of collage work- http://41.media.tumblr.com/783c4b79bd296e0040539213026f54fa/tumblr_n3ae83TPJI1shbxr8o1_1280.png I've never put out a mod but I've played around casually with modding tools since fallout 3 so I can do some work there too the provinces I would most like to do stuff for is first Hammerfell, second either black marsh or kittycatland, and so on also working on my own mod so I hope to learn a thing or two to be able to give that what it deserves
  23. Hello, guys! Well, I got two projects on the go, and I have a small team with a few writers and a programmer. I had two concept artists, but one of them gave up and the other one... died. Well, she just disappeared. Anyway, I'm now in need of concept artists to project stuff and 3D modelers to actually make the models. If you're interested, please PM me. One of my projects, the Mining Guild, used to be hosted here, but I had to stop development for a few months and it's not longer being hosted, but perhaps you've heard of it. The project I'm working on right now is much smaller than MG, and it's a project I started in 2013 which was completed. But I decided to add some stuff to it and make it better. Once I finish Domus Imperatoris, I'll get back to developing Mining Guild. The artist that stopped answering made a few drawings, and they're awesome. Here's an example. Thank you!
  24. Hammerfell clothing concepts

Well, since it seems I've been given greenlight to draw whatever my heart desires, I'm starting with something we seemed to be missing, aka common clothing. I've decided to go the same way Skyrim went - two colour variants for each mesh. These are mostly for commoners, I got ideas for noble clothing too but I still need to put them on paper And here's some headdress variants. Well, thoughts? Suggestions? Lore people willing to slap me if I get too stereotypical?
  25. Hello everyone, I was brought here by a post about a Skyrim project called Hammerfell. I am a fan of the Elder Scroll series, and have been a dedicated user of mods posted to the Steam Workshop. It would be amazing to contribute to a mod of this scope and ambition. So a bit about myself: I consider myself a concept artist, graphic artist, illustrator, and 3D animator. I majored in Sequential Art and Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design. If you look at my portfolio, I have done professional work in the games and animation industry. I have used 3D programs such as 3ds Max and Maya for many of the projects I have worked on. Though, most of my work is sci fi, I don't mind switching to fantasy. I am willing to work with any team so long as you can find a fit for me. I have some work up in my gallery. For more information, please check out my website and blog. http://jeffyu20.wix.com/jeff-yu-art http://jeffyu-art.blogspot.com/ If you wish to contact me, please email me at jeffyu20@gmail.com or skype me at xvortexbladex. Again, I want to say thank you for the opportunity to contribute to a fantastic looking game, I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Jeff Yu Gallery: http://www.darkcreations.org/forums/user/6484-xvortexbladex/
