  1. Hello. In Hammerfell, is there going to be any custom Ancient Egyptian Music for cities and especially in dungeons? I personally think it would be cool to enter these areas of Hammerfell with an Egyptian feel to it. Now I have a video that is listed below and it is Ancient Egyptian Meditation Music. I don’t own any copyrights to this video but I put the link in this post to explain the type of music I am talking about. Also this music is kind of slow for my taste but it gives an idea to everyone that is interested in this topic. Thanks! https://youtu.be/9vSQtADNVuk

  4. Lore Primers

I really don't know if this is the right place to write this but I remember being a section about "lore primers" here, containing a lot of information on every city and region of the Illiac Bay. The thing is, I'm DMing a TES tabletop RPG(UESRPG) to my friends, set in Hammerfell, and I liked to create the cities based on the information there, is there any reason why the section isn't there anymore? Any way I could see it again?
  5. Hi my name is Boston, and yes it's my real name, I am 19 (20 in January) and I just recently caught eye of your Bruma mod for Skyrim and I have to say that it is the single greatest expansion mod I have ever seen! When I first played it, it felt like an actual DLC made by Bethesda itself. I'm looking to hopefully be a part of that project in order to help it see fruition. Hammerfell is what really caught my eye, and I was really stoked to hear that not only were you actually creating Hammerfell with Skyrim's engine, but that you were asking for help to do it! Now as for my experience I actually lead my own game team at my College and our previous game won 2 awards at the IEEE Competition in Fullertonx California in June, and we are now currently working on a new, larger project to enter next year. On our last game I was the lead level designer and a concept artist and as of now I am the creative director, lead level designer, lead story writer, lead character designer, and lead weapon designer of the new project that I initially concepted and brought to the team. Although, contrary to what it may seem, I'm not all that busy with the game seeing as how right now the game is still in it's initial phases and my team has a lot of modelling to do before I can do too much. And on top of that, we only meet twice a week to work on our game at school. And now I would love to help out your project in any way I possibly can whether it be story writing, level design, character development, or anything that is not modelling, animation, texturing, and programming (because I have not learned those yet), or even just simple ideas and spitballing, just call me up and I'll help out. However minor thing is that I have not tried out Creation Engine/Kit yet for myself, however seeing as how I would only be world building and not actually programming, it wouldn't be to difficult to learn seeing as how it took me like a day to figure out most of Unity. Sorry about the long post, and I hope I'll hear from you soon. If I don't seem to reply in time enough for you just email me at Boston.r.bolles@gmail.com Thanks!
  6. HF : Arabian Horse

For my first project in Beyond Skyrim I'm creating a unique horse mount for the Redguards. The iliac bay team decided that the Arabian Horse breed would be the best choice. I promise the horse won’t look like a roider by the time it’s done. Also feel free to critique if you see anything. Waffles was awesome enough to make me a design for the horse saddle. Since this is my first project in Beyond Skyrim I could use help with some technical information, in particular this…. … Someone who knows how to bind a new mesh to a pre-existing Skyrim skeletal rig. … Someone who knows how to modify an existing animation. I’d like for the horse to trot with it’s head and tail up higher than the original animation.

  8. Love to help the mod

Hi, I am a huge fan of the elder scrolls, and I have been following the mod for many months now, and have never seen a mod of this caliber have this much attention and success. I would love to get the chance to work on this mod in anyway I could. I don't have very good rendering or artwork applications available at my disposal, but I would love to be a writer on, or not on lore for possibly Valenwood or The Summerset Isles/Elsweyr (I have some ideas for the Aldmeri Dominion). I understand that these sections of Tamriel aren't extremely far along, yet I would love to help in any way I can. Hammerfell was also an interest of mine, but honestly I have such a passion for all the provinces, that I would be happy to work anywhere! I also have a good eye for photographs and videos so, possibly some work on screenshots or trailers? (Only if needed). It would be a real honor to help shape something like this and I would really appreciate a response! Your favourite Dragon -Paarthurnax
  9. Hammerfell clothing concepts

Well, since it seems I've been given greenlight to draw whatever my heart desires, I'm starting with something we seemed to be missing, aka common clothing. I've decided to go the same way Skyrim went - two colour variants for each mesh. These are mostly for commoners, I got ideas for noble clothing too but I still need to put them on paper And here's some headdress variants. Well, thoughts? Suggestions? Lore people willing to slap me if I get too stereotypical?

These are supposed to be lowest tier weapons in Hammerfell. Just that stuff that is wielded by bandits or poor civilians. More tools than status symbols. ;-)

  15. I'd like to join this project

Good day everyone. I am known as SadisticSnowman, and I was wondering if I'd be able to join this project. Specifically, I'd like to work as a quest writer or a level designer in Hammerfell or High Rock. I'm rather new to modding Skyrim but I have had quite a lot of experience with Oblivion modding. I am working on a project for Skyrim already but when I heard about Beyond Skyrim I decided that I had to join. So if you allow me to join, at first, I'd like to work on small tasks while I finish my current mod Crimsonheart Bandits, but after that is done, I'd be happy to take any task.

  17. Hammerfell Asset List

This first post will be updated as new assets are discussed and added. Keep checking back! Currently I am going through Trees and the Downloads section. I have been going over the Assets currently in BSAssets to see where we were in terms of Tilesets and assets we can use for all of Hammerfell. I hate to say we don't have much in there as of yet. Now, I haven't taken a look at the Hammerfell BSA yet, however I know that some people have been developing so I am assuming there are things in there. Once I get access to this I will be able to make a more complete list. The following is a list of tilesets and assets we have available In blue, and things we will need in purple. In Green is what is currently being worked on. The color coding is for ease of use. I give one example of the set in each when I can for finished assets. Lastly, this is stuff specifically for Hammerfell and may not include everything in BSAssets that can be used by the Hammerfell Team. 20. The Dwemer of Volenfell

I've been playing the ESO beta for quite some time now yet I have never gone Daggerfall Covenant so I decided I'd make a Breton. I was playing the main quest until it pointed me to the Dwemer ruins of Btharz on the island Stros M'Kai. I immediately though "Maybe the people over at Dark Creations making dungeons could use some pictures" so I took some. And by some I mean a hundred. I don't know if this will be of any use but I decided to post them anyway. Enjoy: http://imgur.com/a/zefZ6
  21. I recently found out that you can pretty much retexture any static in the CK by simply turning the original diffuse and normal .dds in a textureset and then apply the desired textures when altering the base models in CK. This is extremely useful if you want the basic landscape assets (such as rocks, rockcliffs, mountains, rockslabs, rockshelfs, rockpiles, rocktundralands, creeks, ponds, streams and dirtcliffs), all available in the landscape textures you're using for your modded region. This takes creating new separate mesh models with Nifscope (and uploading them to Git) totally out of the equation, because you can just use the vanilla .nif with alternate textures in the CK. Maybe this is not new to some (or most) of you but I just found it extremely fast and useful and wanted to share it just in case. I created some assets that weren't available in BSAssets for my region and much faster than the previous method I was using (with nifscope). Also, I guess this probably saves a lot more disk space in terms of not needing any extra .nif files, although I'm not sure about this (perhaps this method bloats up your plugin size equally/more). Here's a small tutorial of how to do it: 1. First make sure you have all the texturesets you need. In this case I created one new textureset based on one of the BSHammerfell mountainslabs, but you can also easily use many of the land textures contained within BSAssets. You can create these by just opening a vanilla one and linking the diffuse and normal .dds files. 2. Open a static you want to retexture. I highly recommend creating all of the important commonly used vanilla assets so you have entirely new landscaping set (rocks, rockcliffs, mountains, rocktrims, rockshelfs, rockpiles, rocktundralands, creeks, ponds, streams and dirtcliffs). In this example I retextured a rocktundraland for the beach I'm working on. Open the base model and click edit next to the model. 3. Below alternate textures all the possible features of this particular model are given, you can retex them all, but you should experiment which you should leave alone and which part of the model you want in which texture. Just click on them and select new. 4. Use the filter to find your textureset, for this model I used one of the BSAssets land sand textures and the BSHammerfell mountainslab textures 5. Rename it into something convenient and click yes to create a new form: 6. And we have a rextured beach model in our plugin
