  1. Hi people on this forum I recently found out about this mod, and I must say I am very enthusiastic. I would love to be able add something to Beyond Skyrim, although up to this point the forums look like a confusing mass to me. I have been looking for some kind of indication of music that might be needed, but so far I didn't find something like that yet. If you happen to need some music for something please let me know and I will start working on it as soon as possible. I made a few tracks to show what I can make and if you like it and think I could be of help somewhere, please let me know. If you notice something specific that could make my music better or more useful for the mod, please tell me. This is the first music I made for a mod and some tips could mean that I might be able to help the mod in the future.
  2. Hi, On the internet I’m known as ‘Raschu’. I’m a 27 years old graphic designer and music composer (and singer-songwriter) from the Netherlands. I just found out about this mod thanks to a YouTube video. I love composing soundtracks and soundscapes for visual media, but besides some small (graphic design) study projects in the past, I have not yet been able to test my skills on something real. It’s a dream of mine to become a movie/game soundtrack composer. So that’s why it would be a great step up if I could join your team. I can compose in a wide range of styles, but my main jam is symphonic orchestral music (which is what the Elder Scrolls music mostly exist of). I know ,my way around my DAW of choice (Mixcraft) and I have some professional sample libraries at my disposal. I like to think I’m pretty good at enhancing the atmosphere of a place or a certain mood with my music, but I’ll let you guys be the judge of that. I’m a hard worker and I’m very critical about my compositions. I’m a creative person in general, with some modding experience of my own, so I might be able to give my two cents on other subjects too. My general portfolio playlist contains a variation of different music styles: But if your time is short I suggest to at least listen to the following tracks (those are my fantasy themed tracks): Hopefully I’ll hear back from you folks. With kind regards, Raschu Btw, I’m cool with whatever province I’ll be assigned to.
  3. Sound Design and Music - Application

hello to the beyond skyrim community, i am a Sound Designer and Composer from Italy and i have a master degree in audio engineering. I've made and curated sounds and music for movies and television, i have made some original music aswell, but i have never worked with videogames before, and it is something i'd love to do. My main tools of work are Cubase and Ableton live, but i am also proficient in other DAWs like Pro Tools, Logic, and smaller softwares like Recycle, Reason, Audacity, FL Studio and Soundforge. i also have some little experience with sound implementation on unity. i'm a huge fan of the TES series and Skyrim is my all time favourite. I recently discovered this project from a friend of mine, who's a music producer aswell, and is involved in the Beyond Skyrim project. I would love to join the team as a Sound Designer or as a Music Composer. here you can find some examples of my work, both original music or just mixing and audio editing, for italian television, documentaries and commercials. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMV-wClFHq8&t=66s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQIeiQ7S6tQ here is a link to some of my sound samples and audio cuts on soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/user-445270516/videogame-ambience https://soundcloud.com/user-445270516/taking-the-trash-out-at-night thank you for taking the time to read my application.
  4. Dear Beyond Skyrim team, My name is Trent Moriarty and I'm an orchestral composer. I'm interested in becoming a part of your team! I actually worked on a project somewhat like this before. The Forgotten City is an award-winning Skyrim mod that was played by over a million people and was named as one of the best Skyrim mods by IGN, Games Radar, PC Gamer, etc. The music was often specifically mentioned as being exceptional by both the media and fans. PC Gamer said, "You're in good hands when it comes to the score." My goal for the score of The Forgotten City was to compose music that fit into The Elder Scrolls while still being original and specific to the story that was being told. I wrote around 30 minutes of original orchestral music for the soundtrack which can be heard on bandcamp. I'm interested in writing music for your mod because it seems like such a passionate and ambitious project with exciting musical opportunities. Let me know if you're interested in discussing things further. Hope to hear from you soon. Best, Trent http://www.trentmoriarty.com https://trentmoriarty.bandcamp.com/album/the-forgotten-city-original-mod-soundtrack
  5. To anyone who reads, hey. I recently became aware of the highly ambitious and exciting project, Beyond Skyrim. On hearing that the large majority of the team is volunteer based, I thought I might submit an application to work on the project as a composer/sound designer. I have a lot of composition and audio design experience with DAW's such as ProTools and FL Studio but I have never created anything to be implemented into an engine, so that may be a problem xD. TL:DR - I'm really passionate about the Elder Scrolls and I just want to be a part of something big doing what I love.
  6. Music composer, audio score

I’m a uni student studying film scoring and composing, I have composed my own stuff similar to the Bathesda score, using DAW such as Protools. I am an elder scrolls enthusiast and my music is heavily influenced by the scores in the elder scrolls world. I would love an opportunity to expand my work and get my foot in the door with the Beyond Skyrim project, as I think I have a lot to offer. I am influenced by Jeremy Soule and In awe of Daniel ran’s score for Bruma. How would I go about joining the team to create some audio for the mod?
  7. Music Composition

Hello, I am an Elder Scrolls enthusiast and became very interested with the jaw dropping project Beyond Skyrim. I heard it through GameSpot's video on the subject. It would be my pleasure if I were able to help you guys with the music. My vision of it is to not distance from Jeremy Soule's landmark vocabulary he created for the universe, but at the same time innovate and adapt to what the universe requires. Daniel Ran, along with the additional music by João Guerra have made a fine soundtrack to the Bruma project. I intend to follow somewhere along their footsteps. Here's some of my work
  8. Folk Music?

Every culture has some folk music to go with it, doesn't matter where you look. Folk songs would be a great way to include lore that wouldn't be mechanically feasible otherwise, as well as give Argonians a completely unexplored musical heritage. For example: I can just imagine at a religious rite to Sithis with a congregation singing a harrowing song about the shadowscales carrying out the death lord's bidding. Or how about an argonian bard singing odes to the Hist? These seem like instances that would cement the culture in feelings rather than just lore. I've already been experimenting with the shadowscale song today; the current iterations are attached to the post. Thoughts? I'm pretty new on these forums, so if this kind of thing has been discussed in the past I'm not trying to spam Q_Q Shadowscale V1 (1).m4a Shadowscale V2.m4a
  9. Hello Atmora Team! Music and theater have been very impactful aspects of my life, helping my throughout very difficult times. For almost 10 years, I’ve been studying and playing the oud, an Arabic string instrument very similar to the lute (predecessor). Alongside the instrument I’ve intensely studied Arabic music theory. I want to point out that just because it’s an Arabic string instrument, that in no way shape or form limits my musical range to strictly Arabic music. I have played alongside western based orchestras and chamber ensembles while also implementing medieval music to the oud. I believe that because of this, my oud and I would make a perfect fit in the lands of Tamriel and beyond. I’ve provided a Google Drive link to a handful of recordings from my repertoire as well as a 40 minute video of a solo recital. I have also been studying theater and acting in several stage plays and musicals for the past 4 years. A more detailed list of roles (as well as musical experience and contact info) can be found in the resume attached. For a while I was type-casted for very angry and loud roles, but over the last year I’ve expanded my range and auditioned/performed happy and comedic roles, which allowed me to currently able to portray emotions across the spectrum. Now I understand that any given character can exhibit this wide spectrum of emotions, even within a single monologue. The “angry character” does not have to be angry all the time. With this in mind I try to make the audience empathize with my portrayals of the villain within a play, and I believe that this gives me a deeper connection with the audience. I also provided a link to a video recording of my monologue from 12 Angry Men, which is personally my all-time favorite monologue that I delivered. I’ve been an admirer of Beyond Skyrim ever since the first Bruma teaser almost four years ago. I’m so thrilled that this project is not only alive but as active as ever (from what I’ve seen). I believe that it’s modding teams like this one which keeps games like these alive, and it would be both a dream and an honor to be apart of it! 10. I made a video as a tribute to horses and wolves and mostly as a thank you for the modders that created such wonderful creatures. Music is a well known Irish Traditional performed by me: Ride on, vocals and three guitars all played by me. Enjoy:
  11. I have an offering

If you need someone to help with music, I may be of good use. I'm not good at writing songs, but I do have 9-10 experience with piano (classical sheet (important note)) and 5-6 experience with euphonium if that helps. I also got a cousin which I got good contact with who is good at singing and has about 7-8 years experience with guitar, if he is willing to. so, let me know if I may be of use

  13. Hiya, my name is Brandon Alexander. I'm a canadian composer, and ambient FX designer. I have done music scores for a few projects in the past year and a half. One for a Swat 4 mod called Elite Force, and one for a horror game mod that has yet to be released. I'm heavily inspired by game soundtracks such as Thief: TDP, Splinter Cell, and Hitman. I like to innovate. I really don't like making soundtracks that sound just like every other soundtrack out there. I like to make things that are fresh, memorable, and interesting, and sometimes; super fucked up. I'll let you know from the get-go. My style is flexible, but not conventional. I don't go by genres, and I'm happy to mash and incorporate several different styles into my work, but I do not like to replicate other composers' styles. If you guys are looking for something innovative and new, I'd like to discuss coming on-board as an in-house composer? Here are some demos of my work, enjoy ! https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8S7hvvQOuSKTHk5RjdraDMyS3c https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8S7hvvQOuSKeERpNjhTM2pwZzQ https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8S7hvvQOuSKeUtoNkNUajRBeTQ https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8S7hvvQOuSKY3hNR0lrelZtM00 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8S7hvvQOuSKSEdJalgzTDdWSVE

This is that orchestral piece requested by someone in discord. It's very forgotten city, I realized after listening back
  15. Application - Composer

Hello! My name is Stephen and I am applying for the role of composer with Beyond Skyrim. I am 30 and I am particularly drawn to the regions of Cyrodiil and Morrowind but I would be happy to help out on any of the other regions too. I wrote much of the original score to Luftahraan, another Skyrim mod that was sadly never released. You can listen to that score on my SoundCloud here. Jeremy Soule is one of my biggest influences and his scores to Icewind Dale and Morrowind were some of the main reasons I wanted to write music for video games. You can hear more of my work and read my biography on my website here. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my work and I look forward to hearing from you!
  16. Musician / Composer applying

Heya! My name is Matti Paalanen. I am a finnish musician / composer ready to offer music from my current portfolio for Beyond Skyrim. I am also able to produce new tunes if you like in reasonable schedule. My main influences include Jeremy Soule, Nobuo Uematsu, Hans Zimmer, Two Steps From Hell and similar artists. I have released original music mods for Oblivion and Skyrim. They have gotten quite good response and popularity. You can find them on nexusmods: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11042 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/85472 http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/4191/? (also 4 other parts in addition to this) You can find my full portfolios here: https://www.jamendo.com/artist/2740/celestial-aeon-project?language=en And this youtube video contains all the tunes in my Skyrim mod: If you feel like my music would be of good enough quality and of right style, let me know! I'd be glad to help. I've loved the Elder Scrolls soundtracks since Morrowind and would be great to be able to offer something for high quality mods in future.
  17. Hello, my name is Alex Hull, I'm 18, and I'm applying for a music composition position in the Beyond Skyrim Development Team. I think that everyone corner of Tamriel is beautiful in it's own way and I'd love to work on any of the provinces, but I'm most interested in working in Elsweyr or Valenwood. I've composed a short test piece really quick for the Development Team just to serve as an example, I could see it being used as an ambient track for a massive city or a vast mountain range. I've included links to related pieces I've composed in the past that most suit the style of the Elder Scrolls games below. (The aforementioned track) - https://instaud.io/17r1 (My portfolio) https://soundcloud.com/operation-solace (Elder Scrolls Theme Orchestra Cover) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQSb8CttfxA (Combat Sample Track, not exactly Elder Scrolls themed but it gives an idea) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLCy6FPdoBs (Ambient Track, again not themed to Elder Scrolls but just another example) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbZDuBxBHQk I look forward to the response of Beyond Skyrim Development Team. If contacting me outside of this forum would be easier, I can be reached at alexjhull@gmail.com.
  18. Hello! My name is Jon Babb, and I have been composing music since the early 2000's. I am the creator of both Oblivion Music Overdose and the Morrowind Music Overdose series. So, I suppose you could say that scoring Elder Scrolls music is quite my forte. Those mods are quite old, but I am glad that I could contribute music to Morrowind and Oblivion in some small way. I understand that there is already music being used for Beyond Skyrim, and I may be too late to apply; but I would like to at least let you hear some examples of my work. Hopefully, in time, I may have the honor of composing music for the Imperial City and other parts of Cyrodiil. I am not Jeremy Soule, but our styles are somewhat similar in some regards. Here are a few examples: Cinematic: https://soundcloud.com/jonbabb/love-never-ending https://soundcloud.com/jonbabb/soul-strings https://soundcloud.com/jonbabb/lady-of-the-light A piece I did with Asja Kadric: https://soundcloud.com/jonbabb/as-my-heart-beats Fantasy: https://soundcloud.com/jonbabb/the-journey-home https://soundcloud.com/jonbabb/the-graceful-maiden Thank you for listening to my music and hopefully your consideration. My heart is certainly in this and I hope to contribute the best music I possibly can! Kind Regards, Jon Babb
  19. Application: Composer

Heyo! While I primarily came here to audition for voice acting, I thought I'd throw my music into the mix as well. I'm by no means a professional, though I've done hobby work for years now and I've been playing piano all my life (about 23 years now). Below a few of my pieces I thought would be most appropriate for the setting, though I have about 10-15 others done. I hope you enjoy them - I'd love to musically contribute to such an epic project, and I am willing to compose whatever is needed for the project within my scope of knowledge. 20. Application: Composer

Hello Beyond Skyrim, My name is Frank Hegland and I´m a 20 year old composer. For the past 3 years I´ve been studying and composing music with focus on orchestral music of various sizes. It was Jeremy Seouls amazing score for Skyrim that sparked my interest for composing and it is still in this genre I enjoy writing the most. I have done a lot of analysis on Jeremy´s music, amongst other composers, and know this genre well, but have yet to write an actual score for a project. I missed Oblivion, but have made up for that in 1000+ hours of gameplay in Skyrim. Here´s a link to my Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/frank-hegland (Some of the oldest tracks are not mixed; "Highlands" and "From Dusk till Dawn" are more up to date when it comes to my sound quality) If you want some more audio I can certainly send some more or even write a short sample if you would like. Email me at frankh.hegland@hotmail.com as I´m very excited about "Beyond Skyrim" and would love to contribute to any of your future mods. Regards, Frank Hegland
  21. Hey there, Beyond Skyrim. I am a musician and sound engineer currently working on my masters in Audio Production (Focus on Film and Game Post Production) and was a modder back in the days of Oblivion and Morrowind. Whilst I've not modded in some time, I would like to get back into it, and as I've now done sound for film and game projects for both school and the "professional" sphere, I wanted to take a shot at being on a project like this again. Apart from a basic familiarity of the creation kits for Elder Scrolls and Fallout, the skills I wish to offer to the table are namely: Vocal Editing Sound Effects and Foley (recording, editing, and mixing) Music Production (beginning to end, recording, mixing, mastering) File Encoding (for Audio primarily) Performance and recording for Vocals and Voice Acting, Percussion, and Keyboards Musically speaking, I specialize in symphonic, atmospheric, and folk music. I specialize in metal and industrial as well, but I'm guessing that isn't so useful here. I have a full band that can do any of the above mention music types (folk, symphonic, atmospheric, industrial, metal) at the ready for things. I have at my availability the ability to work in surround sound and stereo, using Pro-Tools, Reaper, Nuendo, and FL Studio primarily (depending on the needs of the project) I also run a recording studio out of my basement and have some of the equipment for that. Don't know if that's helpful, just letting you know that I have the tools. Apart from sound, which is really 90% of what I do in life, I am a big Elder Scrolls Lore nut and am always a happy consumer of Lore-friendly projects like this when I see them.
  22. Hello Beyond Skyrim, My name is Michael Beeghley. I'm a composer, sound designer, and this past year I've gotten into game design (Stencyl, RPG Maker, I'm beginning Unity). I'm currently enrolled at Berklee College of Music in their Game Audio Production Specialist Certificate program. I'm studying FMod, Wwise and Unity this semester. I earned my Bachelor's in Music from Ohio State in 2009 and have been a professional musician, producer, and composer since. Here is some of my music: https://soundcloud.com/michael-mj-beeghley/sets/mba4m I'm also writing the sound effects and some of the original soundtrack for the RPG Maker MV Game Shadow Star https://soundcloud.com/michael-mj-beeghley/shadow-star-complete-reel My fiancee https://vimeo.com/223680083 and I https://youtu.be/p8lU_VG5xPY record professional voice over as well. While we do have more experience voice acting for business applications, we would like to take that experience and help with recording clean, professional sounding NPC voice acting should you need it. Email me at hammerstreetproductions@gmail.com as I'm a big fan of Skyrim, I'm very much looking forward to playing "Bruma", and I would love to help with any of your future Mods. best wishes, Michael Beeghley
  23. Still need any (dungeon) music?

Hey! I'm a 17 year old guy from Belgium who just released his first album. It's a dark ambient/experimental album. I've been wanting to contribute to Beyond Skyrim for a very long time now but never really knew how to. A lot of people have told me my music sounds like something from a movie or videogame, so I figured I'd post it here and maybe, if you guys think it suits the game, I could try to make some Beyond Skyrim music. I think my music could work in some creepy areas or dungeons. Check out my music: Bandcamp here: https://velzerat.bandcamp.com/releases YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF6pxThX42iU83zmov41WepkiCc3Nc-wG And tell me if I should make anything for Beyond Skyrim! I can adapt a little if necessary. I'm very keen to help out.
  24. Hello everybody, I'm Anthony. I want to help with voice acting, audio and music. I have a decent audio interface and microphone and I work in FL Studio. Here you have some examples of my voice, although I can do more things: For the music stuff you can have a look at this song, but as I've already said, I can do more things: If you need more information just PM me. I love Tamriel, so any province is more than interesting for me. I love challenges as well, so new things aren't a problem!
  25. Hello,i wanted to make music for mods for a very long time, but had no luck in finding modders who needed it(and most of the times when i found one, they already had a musician)luckily i ran into this forum and it seems help is needed,i am mostly self taught when it comes to composing/mastering music, have about 2-3 years of experience in composing, played keyboard for about 5-6 years, here are some songs i made, not all are fit into the skyrim style(i believe Valley of Peace is the most skyrim-like track i have there)I prefer that you hear the examples.zip i sent, but if you want to hear other tracks from me here's my soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/enzo2090 quality there isnt that good so thats why i sent it in a package below(soundcloud produces a little audio problem on the high end if you send in mp3's/low quality formats) No preferences in provinces or style, mainly used to orchestral(not that i have wrote for a real orchestra, only am self taught in everything involving it,and use computer software to make it)Celtic/Folk and a bit of ambient, and also Horror music and ambience(have made some stuff for AmnesiaTDD custom stories). i am not used to all genres of music, but of course can learn them always. May also be able to sing tavern music(though its something i would be experimenting upon if requested),ill try singing one of skyrim songs and posting it on the thread if i succeed on singing them well(need a quality microphone for that first) http://www.mediafire.com/file/r153uk0xa01om9x/Examples.zip
