  1. I dropped a post here about a year ago and thought I'd do so again after the warm reception of Bruma and a collection of update videos for other projects. I can offer fully functional versions of any of the languages from the Elder Scrolls series. Language creation has been a long standing hobby of mine and I just published my first grammar for my longest running language (You can peek at a pdf version of it here). My best work is when the languages that I'm developing have constraints, which is the case for many of the Elder Scrolls languages, since we only ever get snippets. In addition to expanding on the languages, I'd be able to write dialogue, lore books or create images in native scripts for artists to add to game objects in those languages. I also would be able to coach voice actors who would need to be speaking languages, be they ones that I create or ones that exist already. Definitely interested in any of the province projects as well!
  2. Hello! I am writing to apply for voice acting and writing work. I realise there are forms on each of the province pages, however as none of them seemed to be working properly for me I thought this might be the best place to post my application. As an actor, I have performed in several amateur stage plays (mostly Shakespeare) and have also recently done voice work for Skywind as Dunmer and Bosmer characters. Please see my Soundcloud for examples of my Elder Scrolls acting range: Having achieved two degrees in history, I am also a competent writer and scholar. I feel that there has been somewhat of a dearth of scholarly 'non-fiction' books (both esoteric and commonplace) in Elder Scrolls games beyond the subjects of narrative history and human geography. Therefore, I have written several lore-friendly works for the edification of Tamriel - and would certainly love to write more. (I certainly have plenty of ideas.) Three of my finished works, formatted for use in Skyrim, are attached to this post as examples: - Mathematics for Pious Children, by Alba Domus of Chorrol – An entertaining book of mathematics questions written by a bad tempered and somewhat zealous educator. - The Trial of Sanirel, as recorded by Piero, translated by Grubius Tertius – An Elder Scrolls-ified version of part of one of Plato’s more digestible philosophical works, the Apology of Socrates. - Realm Walking: An Introduction to Transliminal Travel, by Carolus Sanis – Oblivion is hardly an original topic, but I wanted to condense everything we know about travelling to Oblivion into a digestible package and establish a degree of intertextuality in the Elder Scrolls’ academic literature. If nothing else, constructive criticism is always welcome. Thanks for reading! hentuspants - Skyrim formatted books.pdf
  3. I'd like to apply as a writer for the Cyrodiil region. I've created an odd and somewhat quirky quest for the work example using the format shown in Lasur's example. Link to example: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iCqAh5nj44btLJFnSClzYnd2oc8ZEpQsUIXpwtjvMqc/edit?usp=sharing Do note that I am also proficient in writing books and extensive amounts of lore. I can provide examples of detailed lore (not related to Elder Scrolls, but original creations) that I have created upon request. I am in the community outpost discord as well, and can be found at: SteelForged#9437 As a side note, I am interested in joining any region should the Cyrodiil team not require any assistance. However, I am far more knowledgeable on the regions of Cyrodiil and Morrowind than any of the others.

  5. Writing for Exposition and Dialogue

    1) What is Exposition and its general purpose Exposition is the direct dialogue that carries the narrative. It should be split into slices to make them digestible most important info at the end of a dialogue just one piece of important information at once (per dialogue) the type of information chronologically gathered should follow a logical order characters presenting this information should have valid reasons to give them “The general purpose of dialogue is to move the player forward!” -> Dialogue does not offer the space to tell a background story in general. (for reference, minute 4+ in this video) “Let me tell you how our people started in stone age…” the writers history encyclopedia issue, player reaction: fall asleep “The evil empire killed all good people...” the oversimplification issue, player reaction: will feel how artificial and generic the story is “Dragons used dirty bombs and nuked our battle mechs with Magicka” the PR-exaggeration issue/ commercial keyword issue, player perception: artificial, unimmersive overcooked story “Once in the days of old, we captured the Mines of Moria, and Whiterun, and….” the lead level designer showing off random unrelated locations in the game issue, player perception: what a bulk of irrelevant information -> fall asleep “Oh, and when you go there, gather 20 Goblin skulls for me!” the Quality dep realized emptiness before shipping, adds random things issue player perception: its generic, artificial and unpersonal and unimmersive 3) The primary purpose of Exposition What is happening? What do I do? Where do I have to go next? Use Exposition? purpose example must plot-critical info "This Dragon will eat Nirn!" should in-character motivation "This dragon killed your father!" could additional lore and realism (optionally, only if not breaking game flow!) "How did we find out that he will destroy Nirn? Well, ..." should not irrelevant / stopping game flow “Let me tell you about the life cycle of dragons...” 4) The secondary purpose of Exposition Codex (encyclopedia) ingame books (journals, books, scrolls...) ambient dialogue (if the thalmor spy would say something to a guard when you visit him; you could overhear it and go on or stay and listen) optional questions (How did you meet character a, character b? -> above, category 3, could) environmental storytelling (level design and graphical design, music...) auxiliary products (card games etc, not for us) 5) Working with a complex background story To avoid getting stuck in details, the only way is to analyze the relevant key pieces of information and to serve them in bite-able chunks where it is necessary. example: the ancient crown went missing has elven magic the elven kingdom was west of where you are it was destroyed by a war with the goblin king -> the player only remembers one last thing in each dialogue. 6) The strategy of breadcrumb trails What (motivation) or: know about the crown Why (connection) or: realize there are runes with elven magic Where (location) or: find a scholar who can translate them How (method of interaction) or: read the runes yourself 7) Pitfalls using the Bread Crumb Trail 1) “Maybe the Elves know something!”... Problem: Player has no idea where the next NPC is and how to proceed with the story. Their perception is not: “Wow. this is challenging, I should keep trying…” but rather: “Your game does not work, it is broken and it sucks.” “go there and do this” -> pack it, so it does not appear as the designers manipulate the player in a certain direction but rather like “you have this choice, and there will be your reward”. (Quest Objectives) 2) “Let me tell you a story”… Problem: irrelevant information gets ignored and disturbs the game flow. (check the 4 W’s about Motivation and Hook up above for better use) 3) “Red Herrings” Each bit and piece of information is expected to be relevant and important; giving irrelevant information (and having the player remembering it without reward) will make him frustrated. Player perception will not be “Oh, I was stupid to try that and go there.” but rather: “Your Game is broken and it sucks.” 8) SHOW EVERYTHING, TELL NOTHING (or: how to pack exposition in the game) "Exposition is the bitter pill to swallow information; Characterisation can be the chocolate coating to make it more appealing." a) Speakers Position, Style, and Perception Framing the Exposition with a believable character -> the information given must be an integral component of the characters own life story. You should not be able to replace a character by a road sign “bandits this way!” - then, something went horribly wrong! Ask yourself, what would the characters say, if it was themselves? Consider topics of their environment, daily life, and social group, plus their unique character. b) Speakers Messages (Subtext and Analogies) The subtext is raised out of the worlds background, Plot, the Character, and his/her feelings. The example below from a scene we all know: See, why scene 1 is good, and scene 2 feels “off” because of the perception of Han Solo’s Character we all have? Analogies Whenever you can package Exposition in an analogy using consistent terms of a world, you can avoid making an “artificial, top-down birds-eye analysis” which would break the immersion of the scene entirely. Also, analogies can be understood subconsciously and quicker and be remembered longer, using metaphors and pictures. Example: Do not say “you need to explain to them their feelings” but rather “tell them, this is normal, this is your anger, and this is your happiness.” It will get one level closer to the reality of the recipient and less meaning is lost in translation between implied message content and the receiver level. You do not exactly say what you mean, but portray it. making it more impressive and lasting. This applies only for non-immediate and non-interactive info; that info should all go in subtext and / or analogies! (obviously “run for your lives!” does not go there as it requires immediate action! ;-) ) c) About the Characters Stake in the story What is the personal connection of the Character? What are his feelings regarding the plot and other characters and the environment? Every speaker should have all of these elements: (The 5 personal ties of a speaker) something they want something they need something they fear something they gain something they loose And, of course, if possible, every actor should have each different from each other! Some should be the noble part, others the mean ones, some altruistic, some merchants,... d) How much Emotion? Like in music and painting and theater play, it is best to first give a stronger emotion, and later tune it down, the opposite way will get very hard with writing. “go there.” (how could a voice actor invoke much emotion in this anymore? ;-) ) e) The Player - NPC relation: Start considering the dialogue from both sides: What does the player want to / need to hear (for story progress)? What does the NPC want to / would be willing to tell, and what does he/she usually think of? “A Janitor is more memorable than a commander, because he has a more personal relationship to his environment, and not all of his character is filled by his assigned role.” “Characters who are not as we expect them, like a commander who is not a fierce strategist, or a janitor who is actually a warrior, are memorable and noteworthy and have character; but the general dummy characters based on stereotypes are killing the credibility of your story.” Exposition is telling. -> direct dialogue The characterisation is showing. -> show emotional reactions on events and plot! example: You don't say “he hates the empire” but you find out he was imprisoned and later after a battle that he is in the secret resistance. You can and should split this information over time. And do this for all relevant characters, as space of the game plot allow it. Then you come to the point where the player asks themselves “What else might we know about a character?”. The player will start guessing what kind of person the character is, and most can be left vague, but it will be an interesting actor. Stereotypes Nobody wants to see the stereotypical actors. The blonde cliche women, the idiot boy, the super hulk, ...rather do some research on the roles of your actors and their possible background and social relations, but most importantly, besides their official roles and their self-understanding, imagine them as human beings. Credible humans are, in doubt, more convincing than perfectly sketched actors for their “roles” who lack any character. That means, in doubt, give your characters 60% persona and individual character that might even conflict with the role their environment puts them in; and for the remaining 40% try to get a good idea of what role this character players play in their world. Some personas might support their roles, as having chosen them, others might not. Summary: small info bits dialogue should be the solution to a players problem the characters who deliver the dialogue and the way of speaking should be carefully considered try to “get in the head” of the speakers do it like for a musical, the time horizon of an RPG is similarly short and fluid remember that you have a tiny amount of time to place information in a fluid and dynamic game environment thanks for your attention! please send feedback and criticism my way! ;-) have fun
  6. 18 Years Old, Undergraduate Amateur Writer from Chile with a C1 Level of English examined by Cambridge University, with a passion for games and a love for all that is Elder Scrolls. I'm not sure how many of these you guys have gotten, but by the popularity of this massive undertaking, that is the Beyond Skyrim Project, I'd expect for crowds to be at the door, hoping to join the team in the work of creating all of this. As said above, I'm a writer, ever since I could remember, as well as a gamer for life, as some might say. Currently unemployed, though studying Law down here in the end of the world that is Chile. If I may be bold enough to say, I would adore the chance to join in the great effort that is creating Beyond Skyrim, mainly on the Illiac Bay or Cyrodiil Teams, though of course, I'd be available for any of the others if needed. I've studied the lore of the Elder Scrolls Universe ever since I played TES: Daggerfall and TES: Morrowind, and have also designed many theories for the universe and characters of the same, not sure if that's important, but I'd like to share anyway! Now, not sure what else to say, but I have a few samples of my work, my best so far and actually the beginnings of my yet unreleased novel, the Axis. Not only will it embark across one Fantasy Timeline, but I have grander plans for it to follow a branching story all across the Universe and Multiverses, and Inter-Dimensions that may lie in between. But first thing for that should be me regaining my creative focus on it as I've been on a writer's block for a few months now. Anyway! I've ranted too much, here you have the link! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xRNCyXbgg4QLMpThaDNv8XWm1TBhSStfcWs69LcjItg/edit?usp=sharing Thank you for taking the time to read all of this, if you have!
  7. I would say my forte is writing in prose/poetry but I can definitely write dialog, if needed. EDIT: Forgot to mention, but would most definitely want to join either Elsweyr Team or Argonia Team ( °3°) Samples: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rdBzkUZsPgI4G-Gn0_d7dV5uOS_JZqyAXmo8QzH-bGw/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SuBfJUdCGkcnSYAK6rd9VQPqg8goS-8FhfTTuA7kE50/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/document/d/11s3Jj6XRjloKi4g0ojII3THa0wt3xBwdYbd2eDPKyNg/edit?usp=sharing
  8. Application for Writer

Hi guys, My name is Nick, and I am an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where I am studying screenwriting. I am interested in a writing position for one of the Beyond Skyrim teams where I can write dialogue, in-game text, and/or quests. In the link below I have provided concept dialogue for three unique NPC's intended to Beyond Skyrim: Morrowind, but could be inplemented into any of the other provinces with a few edits. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Q19aWtbB5BkVYySH2JJmSjJpx9V159491UMFCZQkD24/edit?usp=drivesdk
  9. My name is Ben and I've been very interested in Beyond Skyrim since Bruma. I've started to learn the creation kit and want to help out. I posted an application on the website however I figured I'd also post one here to cover my bases. I'm currently applying to be a level designer (specifically interiors, but I can exteriors too) and a writer. The process of creating a mod/game like this is extremely interesting and I'd like to be a part of it. I'm mostly interested in working on Cyrodiil however I'd be fine working on any other province as well. Thanks for your time! 10. Application- Writing, voice acting

Hey guys, I've never really filled an application out like this before but I'm gonna try my best. I decided I would apply for writing and voice acting because I feel I would do these two roles best. I have written much in my spare time, and have even been the DM for a elder scrolls D&D campaign that has lasted 2 years now. As for voice acting, I have done acting before, mostly stage, but feel I could voice act well also. I know elder scrolls lore well, also, and feel I could contribute to a project set in any region. I don't really know what else to put on here but if there is more needed please let me know and I will supply whatever needed. Thank you for the consideration! -Zach (Susslethorg)
  11. Voice Actor, Writer

Hi, I've done voice acting and writing (poetry/scripts/stories) as a member of the hitrecord.org online art community, and when I heard about the Beyond Skyrim project I really wanted to help out. I've included links to previous things I've done as well as a current project I've worked with Alex Jordan on (also linked). I hope that I can help out with this project. Thanks for your consideration in advance, Joe Fed Online Demos.docx
  12. hello, i am a fan of TES V: Skyrim and TES IV: Oblivon, i enjoy the games very much and i write in my spare time, please tell me if my example quests should be more in-depth, i made 2 separate ones, one for Black Marsh and the other for Elswyr. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uYraZhfqdcfpn8VDjxwWs-lARkW8TYGRD8A3_sjHPeM/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/document/d/11OBMKajSX6udhSQtprv62Ewb8GcHnmqEjsm50X2CIoM/edit?usp=sharing
  13. Hello, My name is Ethan Fonarev and I am a student writer. I've been admitted into different writing programs and am currently writing my first book. I am a big fan of classic literature (Orwell, Wells, Lovecraft, etc.) I am also a big fan of video game and movie lore. I am open to taking part in any project and I am willing to work on any form of writing whether it be poems or dialogue, however, my strongest suites are story-telling and dialogue. I have a good amount of time on my hands, especially with summer coming up. Unfortunately, if I am admitted to working on this project, I will have to put schoolwork before this, so if there are periods of time that are much more dense with schoolwork, my productivity on the Skyrim mod will slow down or be halted entirely. Below is a google doc containing samples of my writing and when they were written. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1u_PewElSlsFRvmNg0aDJOlJC-TOMf9mkPWmkNy2AHXQ/edit?usp=sharing
  14. Hello all, this is Moon Sugar Leader - Writing Department Lead and Co-Director of Beyond Skyrim: Elsweyr. Thank you for your interest in BSE. If you'd like to apply to the Writing Department please follow these guidelines: 1. Submit a writing sample, preferably a short story of 900-1500 words (roughly 3-5 pages double spaced). The story should explore a unique cultural aspect of the Khajiit, be set in Elsweyr, and not be related to the events of Skyrim. We're looking for people who are passionate about the Khajiit and Khajiit lore. This is your chance to show us what you know. Please note: any application including pornography or explicit material will be rejected outright. We're not making that kind of mod. 2. If your sample meets our standards, MSL or one of the Co-Directors will contact you with information about our Discord. Any work you contribute to BSE remains the intellectual property of BSE whether you stay with the project or not. Writers will be given credit for their work. 3. If you are asked to join the Writing Department you will be required to read all the material in our Khajiit Lore Bible. BSE is a lore-heavy mod and we expect our writers to know the world and culture of the Khajiit. Elsweyr is a strange and beautiful land with a rich history - we've been given the awesome responsibility to bring it to life. Thanks again for your interest in BSE. #khajiitlove!!
  15. Hello! My name is DrLacevil and I would like to apply for the Beyond Skyrim project development. I was following BS long before Bruma release, but after that I've become truly inspired, as I've witnessed that the progress is actually being made. I view my application as a mean to give something back to community, while also working with the universe I love. I know, you are probably tired of bums like me who think that having a computer and a text editor makes you a "writer", or maybe you are full on staff in the writing department, but I would still like to take my chance and apply for the position. As an example of my work I provide a mockup quest, which combines not overly detailed quest outline and examples of dialogue within it. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tFd3GeBu7XY0gb6E33qx5etJKn1t8Mfu3mi5AbyBZKc/edit?usp=sharing Thank you for your attention.
  16. Hi there! My name is Jonathan, or OMWDA the Detective on social media. I joined Beyond Skyrim as a writer for the Elsweyr team on 29/8/2017. I've been recently thinking about expanding out and helping other teams and I saw that Roscrea wouldn't mind some writers, so here I am today! I'm afraid that I know as much about Roscrea as anyone who isn't a dev would know: that it's a small island in the Sea of Ghosts, it was conquered by Uriel Septim V, and later annexed by Solitude. I know a decent amount of TES lore, nothing too out there, but enough to get me by. I enjoy writing side quests that are centered around choice and consequence, and strive to make each quest more memorable than the last. A lot of Skyrim's quests felt like they were merely incentives to get the player to explore the worldwide . I like to think that quests can be engaging narratives and encourage the player to explore the world, not just for the satisfaction of seeing that Quest Complete sign. It's a pretty tall order, and I hope to get closer and closer to achieving it. Although I like doing quests the most, I'm perfectly fine with doing in-game books, dialogue, and really anything writing related. I've put together a small example quest for this application. It's set in Roscrea, but I bet it conflicts with every single piece of lore you guys have come up with. Sorry about that. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ukZsMO762Kwoqrf0Gk7OpaY_i-0suUtfQ-O7I3tjhto/
  17. Hello. My name is Bishop (Skeletal-Undead or Insidi-Fusion online) and i would like to request a position on the Beyond Skyrim team. While currently I am in college earning my diplomat in arts, I attempt to write exceptional stories and ideas for people (both as a hobby and a side job.) I am the legal age to play Skyrim and have put multiple hours into the game, both unmodded and modded. I am fascinated by the lore of Tamriel and Nirn, taking it as a personal challenge to know at least a little of the uncommon knowledge of the provinces. While i am currently playing Skyrim, i have been an elder scrolls fan since I first played the Bloodmoon expansion of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Some of my most recent works and current projects are available to view here: https://insidi-fusion.tumblr.com/ under "#story" Should I need to find any information on a particular subject, I will gladly ask for assitance or research the topic as soon as possible. The following items are my current ideas for a Knights of the Nine quest set in Cyrodil. Depending on how you feel about the quest series could also determine whether or not the quest can be ported into the other provinces, thus making it larger. [Location] Abandoned Chapel - The old sanctuary for the order known as the Knights of the Nine, destroyed from within by Thalmor spies [Location] Decrepit Catacombs - The desecrated resting place of the honored knights. [Location] Chapel of the Nine - The reborn home for the Knights of the Nine, a beacon to the old ways [Location] Knight Catacombs - The final resting place of knights fallen in battle. Some say that a Knight of the Nine can call upon the fallen to teach lessons long forgotten. [Location] Tomb of the Crusader - The tomb of the Crusader, a heroic individual whom single-handedly defyed death and defeated Umaril, The Unfeathered. [Quest] The Nine Tenets - "I have recently discovered what appears to be an abandoned chapel. Upon further inspection, I have discovered the ill fate of the Knights of the Nine. A ghost has tasked me with retrieving nine sacred relics and purge them of their dark enchantments." (Quest is broken into ten paths) [Quest-The Nine Tenets] - The Strength of Tiber Septim - "Upon reaching the Tomb of the Crusader, I was approached by a mysterious figure. They have warned me about many foolish adventurers who go into the tomb, only to never be heard from again. Perhaps there is an explaination to this phenomena." [Quest-The Nine Tenets] - Glory to the Eight - "I have found the locations of nine holy relics. The Thalmor would pay dearly to keep the relic of Tiber Septim a secret." [Item] - Blade of the Crusader - "The blade wielded by the Crusader against the Ayleid witch-king Umaril." Enchantment: (Leveled) Fire damage and (leveled) damage to Daedra [Item] - Silent Helm - "Once, this helmet was proudly worn among the people, giving hope to the hopeless. Now it is a shadow of itself, a testement to times long forgotten." [Item] - Voice of Diabella - "Rumors say that the Goddess of Love speaks with whoever wears the helmet." Enchantment: Gain ability Diabella's Grace - (Power - Calms all hostile creatures near Player for 200 sec.) None of the aforementioned items are finalized.
  18. Application-ImperialRepublic

Hello! My name is ImperialRepublic, but Shawn is fine. I am a current college sophomore, double majoring in political science and history. Since Oblivion, I have had a great love and respect for the TES, and I have even gone back and played Morrowind for no other reason than I am simply obsessed with Tamriel, Mundus, and Nirn at large. I am writing to apply for a position on the writing team, ideally for High Rock(my first choice and greatest interest), but I also have interest in contributing towards Cyrodiil, Morrowind, or Hammerfell. I have been writing fan-fictions, world building, and even some original fiction works since I was in middle school, my general area of interest lies in fantasy, historical fiction, or science fiction. I believe Tamriel lends itself to having a little of all three. I have studied heavily the history of Western Europe and Russia from the Fall of the Roman Empire to the end of WWII, with a specific focus in the Late Renaissance Age, and the Early Modern Era. I have a deep interest and understanding of the feudal, land based politics that lend regions like High Rock to have very chaotic and dis-unified politics, as well as the court mechanics of an Imperial Autocracy like that which is exhibited in Cyrodiil. Attached are two samples of my writing, the first is an excerpt from a short story, and the second is a few pages of alternate history lore which was entirely conceived and written by myself. I have a huge level of respect and admiration for the Beyond Skyrim project, and I would absolutely love to become a part of it. Thank you very much Sample One, Dialogue.docx Sample Two, World Building.docx
  19. Hello BS team, I am Yyshch and I am applying for a position on the writing department mainly for Cyrodiil, but would be open to working on other provinces if I am so inclined. I am a 23 year old who recently completed my bachelor's degree in political science, so I have been writing in one form or another non-stop for the past 6 years. In relation to my educational/professional background, I am also a managing editor and contributor at a small but growing NGO concerned mainly with international relations, security politics and strategic studies in a global context. As my first foray into the world of the Elder Scrolls, TESV Skyrim was incredibly immersive but I was ultimately left feeling not quite satisfied with some of the political and historical developments of the game which seemed to be underdeveloped and underwhelming. I had sunk 200 hours into one playthrough but was still left with burning questions at the state of Tamriel beyond the borders of Skyrim (and Skyrim itself). It seemed impractical that the goings-on of the world around the Nords stopped merely at the borders and had no effect on anybody else in the game. To make a long story short, the base game (and DLCs) gave me only a slice--and I want the whole cake. Seeing the success of BS: Bruma and the professionalism of the BS team inspired me to consider contributing to the development of this labor of love, and I believe my background in studying politics--from language to interstate war--would be a valuable asset to the team in developing the other provinces of Tamriel. I mainly wanted to work on Faction Quests and side quests and characters in the province of Cyrodiil. When I look at the political frame of the Empire in 4E 201, I see many parallels between them and Cold War and 21st century US contexts, and exploring this dynamic is something I have spent countless hours doing as part of my academic career. I also wanted to bring side characters that the player has an opportunity to really connect with and establish a fleshed-out and tangible relationship with, as I feel like this aspect was overlooked in the base game. I want the denizens of the province to grant the player a variety of playstyles and choices throughout their interactions in order to create a more meaningful and memorable experience. Please find attached two quest samples I have done for a group of rare NPC side characters and corresponding NPCs. Narrative text is labeled in yellow; player text is labeled in red; various other color labels represent the several NPCs throughout the samples. I confess I became a little invested in writing the samples and so you may have to zoom in on the application before the text appears, but it is there (I managed to stop myself short before I wrote complete backstories and supporting documentation). I look forward to hearing from you soon, and I certainly look forward to the content that is to come from this amazing project. Regards, Yyshch Quest Sample.graphml Quest Sample 2.graphml
  20. Application - Writer

Hello, my name is Johhny and I'd like to try my hand at writing for one of the teams working on Beyond Skyrim. I'm 23 and the Elder Scrolls has been my favorite franchise since way back. I started with Morrowind when I was a kid, then on to Oblivion, and finally Skyrim. Writing is a hobby of mine, but working on a game has been a dream of mine for a long time and I'm hoping to gain some experience in the field. I'd be willing to work on any province. I look at it as an exercise for my creativity, so unfamiliar territory will not be a problem. Here's a short story I've been working on: Jblack.txt
  21. Hi I am known as OnuSpell here and on the Nexus website. You may have seen my occasional bug reports on Bruma's mod page. I am 27 and am interested in helping out in particularly with the Cyrodiil and HighRock provinces. I am most interested in landscaping and implementation but am open to other roles. I am also opening to QA and testing releases if needed. I am familiar with the Creation Kit and TESedit having done a few personnel mods as well as generally modifying others work. I have experience in particular with creating texture sets, NPCs, Navmeshing (which I like to do most) and Landscaping. I have a moderate knowledge of how packages work and how to set up conditions. I have a little experience with dialogue and quest setup (CK Tutorial level knowledge). I have no experience with scripting though I know how to read ones written by others to a limited extent. I also know how to work a bit on Nifscope, but would not call myself competent in modelling or texturing ( my knowledge mostly is in how to use it to track down associated files and applying alternate textures). I have attached a link to two mods altered by me (No permission for public release so please don't share. I am merely including them as proof of my current knowledge) and a mostly complete quest I wrote with Cyrodiil in mind (Feel free to use or alter even if my general application is not accepted). Thanks for your time! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Andr6u5hb9sdoejzSEWDpcM6oqy4CnXI/view?usp=sharing P.S. For the attached mods please note the required masters. 22. Hello! My name is Evan G. and I am known as Scatmansgambit by the community. Out of personal preference I would not like to share my last name until my application is reviewed. I am 18 years old, and an experienced writer. I have written many short stories and I am currently at Loyola University New Orleans, majoring in Film and Digital Media Writing with a concentration in Video Games. None of my works have become published yet, but I hope to show you some of my work as soon as you ask for it. I would love to work on any of the available provinces, but I am very well versed on the lore of Atmora, Black Marsh, Roscrea, Morrowind, Thraas, and High Rock. I am also a very huge lore lover! I have played ESO, Oblivion, and Skyrim. I will also be attaching a short story. One that I have made specifically for this application. I will be 100% devoted to this program (when I am not at college!). Thank you all so much and I am looking forward to and am very excited to be joining the Beyond Skyrim team! 23. Application - Writer

Name (discord, skype): BadgertheBard Hello! I am a Creative Writing major, currently in my last year at university and have seven years of experience working with scripts and stories. I have written and edited multiple short films, and am currently lead writer/editor for a 380+ page webseries called Songs of War, created by Black Plasma Studios. I've been a big fan of the Elder Scrolls series (particularly Skyrim), and recently discovered your site after watching a Let's Play of Bruma. I've loved creating and writing about fictional worlds and characters, and was drawn to the series because of that. One of my main focuses is character development and dialogue, which was a strong focal point for SoW. However, I've worked on lore development as well when heading the World of Gaídheal RPG group. 24. Recruitment: Writing and Lore

Hi there! My name is Matt, but I go by Dax4569 to the community. I am 16 years of age, and I am currently applying to a position on the Beyond Skyrim team. My current favorite provinces in terms of story, are Morrowind and Hammerfell, but of course I'm fine with whatever is necessary for more helping hands. I enjoy writing creatively and would love to help out however I can. Here is an example of one of my writings: https://www.wattpad.com/story/117881542-gunbjorn-bravesword's-journal?utm_source=web&utm_medium=email&utm_content=share_myworks. I also have a small little portion of the story below for y'all. Loredas, 8th of the First Seed I wake up with a strange sensation filling my body, and a strange smell filling my nostrils. I notice.. no, I rather become vainly aware that, the room I'm in.. is on fire! I quickly stand to my feet, searching around for the nearest exist, and bolt out of the doorway I spot. walking outside I see.... total and complete destruction. Everything is gone, there's a massive crater at least the size of solitude with its epicenter containing a dwarven ruin I don't happen to remember being there previously, and the sky seems to have turned blood red. I can see.. is that a dwarven centurion in the distance, and it appears to be... slaughtering the jarl. I see the jarl's body fall limp next to the mechanical menace, then see it spouting out steam at the body, scorching it all over. To add insult to injury, a second centurion comes out, this one with red markings, burning the jarl's longhouse to a crisp. Just as I am to bolt to the nearest shoreline, a.. oh god, is that a dwarven, what were they called, sphere? It's spots me, launching several crossbow bolts at me then rushing towards me. I quickly draw my sword, but before I can even block, a bolt hits my chest from behind. Feeling immense pain and my vision growing dark, I pull out my journal and begin to write... In my last moment of life... I feel cold. I warn you, traveler who may find this tome. Turn back! Leave! Leave Esroniet at once, nothing is here but death. Turn ba... Thank you very much for taking the time to look through my application, and have a wonderful rest of your day!
